Mystery Unknown

THE DISCOVERY(1)

      Jasmine returns to school and walks down the hallway with curious eyes staring at her. She ignored them and went to her locker. On opening the locker, she sees a piece of paper on her physics textbook. She picks it up and reads,

"Hey, Jasmine heard what happened to you. Sorry for the loss. But why didn't you call me? Anyway, don't let this put you down. There's a whole new world waiting for you out there." Gabriella.

    Jasmine reads the paper the second time and throws it over her shoulders. "Take it easy, Jas," Austin said picking the paper up and reading it. "She told you already," he said squeezing the paper.

       Jasmine closes her locker with a slam and turns to look it Austin's eyes "I told you I wanted to tell her myself." Jasmine said walking out of Austin. Austin frustrated combs his hair with his fingers and purses Jasmine.

        "Jasmine, I was only trying to help," Austin shouted after her to stop

        "Why, Austin?" Jasmine questioned.

       "Why what?" Austin asked with a raised brow.

       "Why all the assistance, the kindness, the sympathy? What do you actually want Austin?" Jasmine questioned him looking at him in the eye.

        Austin licked his lips "I want your forgiveness." Austin confessed.

       "I knew it". Jasmine said throwing her hands up in the air.

       "But it's not only for the forgiveness Jasmine, but I also did it for..."

       "Why can't you understand Austin? I can't forgive you", Jasmine cut him off.

       "At least try", Austin stepped forward. "Jasmine please." Austin pleaded.

       "You know I can't and I won't try, goodbye Austin."

        Jasmine turned to walk away but was stopped by Austin's hand on her wrist. "Get your hands off me, Austin!!" Jasmine shouted yanking her hand away from his grip and walked away.

       Jasmine was frustrated and she needed to calm down, she goes to the back of the school where nobody goes again. Jasmine was angry with herself and with Austin, Jasmine started kicking stones "One" she kicked the stone "Two" she kicked another "Thr-"

       Jasmine finds herself on the floor with a thud and sits up, she looks at the ground and sees a metal handle. She uses her hand to clear the leaves and behold a trap door.

       Jasmine looked around thinking whether she was being pranked. When she didn't see anyone she unbolted the trapdoor and looked down, it revealed a staircase that leads to the basement of the school.

       Jasmine took a deep breath and went down the stairs. The whole place was dark, Jasmine brought out her phone and turned on her flashlight. She saw old marker boards, test tubes, skeletons, cobwebs, and everything was dusty. Nothing interested Jasmine down here. She was about to go, when her eyes set on a shelf, an old dusty shelf.

       But on the shelf, there was a book but it wasn't dusty like the others, it was different. Jasmine held her phone firmly took few and gradual steps to the shelf. On getting there she reached out for the book, grabbed it, and pulled it down.

      The shelf shook violently making Jasmine land on the floor, the shelf made a squeaking sound then it divided separating from each other revealing a room within. When the noise stopped. Jasmine went into the room.

         She sees a gigantic machine "What's a machine doing in the school?" Jasmine asked herself. Adjusting her backpack, she moves closer to the machine using her hand to clear the dust away from the side of the machine.

    "This machine was manufactured by..." Jasmine read out loud and stopped when she accidentally hit a button.

      The machine shone bright gold as it came to life. Jasmine stepped back as the machine sucked up air and a portal was created at the center of the machine.

     Jasmine grinned as she remembered what her friend told her "Whole new world waiting for you." Then Jasmine jumped into the portal.
