Chapter 10 ‌• Bloodstream

A/N: yo yo yo it's your girl isabella who's in a reylo mode once again mostly because she ordered the tfa novel online and it's coming tomorrow so yay for that extra reylo we were deprived of in the movie. anyway yay for updating too because reylo is great and fluff is great too. (so is angst :)) ALSO SLIGHT TRIGGER WARNING: In this book Rey deals with an eating disorder and some childhood trauma, it was touched upon in the very beginning of this book and will be touched on in this chapter, stay safe and be careful if something like that can trigger you

She continued to run recklessly through the trees the cool air of the atmosphere leaving her throat raw as she gasped for air. Rey had began running sometime ago, her face all smiles as an annoyed Ren started to chase her throughout the trees.

But now? She was close to tears and didn't exactly know why. It's not like Ren did something to hurt her, all he did was try to kiss her and while she returned some of those feelings Rey had decided to mask them under the image of a "tease."

So finally she sat, crouched under a small tree, her arms hugging her legs close to her body and the tears soon continued to stream down her face. Soon the all too familiar feeling of pure sickness and hunger filled her stomach and per usual Rey ignored the feeling, it was a usual feeling and she pushed it down with the thought that skipping another meal would make her more desirable. Holding her hand to her stomach, she attempted to stop the churning pain that caused her head to spin. Nothing had seemed to work and Rey found herself a crying mess all over again.

"I finally found you...you tease."

Ren was smiling down at her and when Rey's eyes met his, his face went completely blank. He settled down next to her and simply watched as she sniffled and wiped away the oncoming tears.

"Are you okay?"

"Do I look okay? No I don't, so no I am not okay."

"You were fine before, what's wrong Rey?"

"I don't even know..." she managed to choke out a response before tearing up again. The statement was partially true for the breakdown was random but it was mostly a result of her current health and trust issues.

"You can tell me, you know that..."

"I don't think I do."

Rey woke up to her copy of Romeo & Juliet splayed out open across her lap. Drowsily she reached forward to grip the book by its spine gingerly, Rey glanced at the worn cover for mere seconds before flinging it across the room. It landed hard on the ground and in response she heard a annoyed hiss to the sudden sound.

The hiss seemed to bring her out from her thoughts causing her to start to take in her now different surroundings.

Where was she?

A striped orange cat shot her a glare as Rey started to get up from where she was laying. The memories from last night were a dazy haze and she seemed unable to remember anything past her breakdown. Her legs seem restrained for she was only able to position her upper body upright. Looking forward she spotted a huddled figure curled up, sleeping, on top of her legs. He seemed almost peaceful and Rey's eyes traced his face carefully, connecting the constellation of freckles scattered across his face.

Then it dawned on her. She was in Kylo Ren's apartment. But she couldn't seem to figure out why.

"Wake up sleeping beauty..." Rey murmured, her breath close to his face. She watched intently as his eyes fluttered open slowly, his lips curving into a small smile when he saw her.

"Now you're awake I see..." She narrowed her eyes at him. "Tell me what I'm doing here."

"If you really want to know, you passed out after your breakdown last night."

"I did?"

Ren started to get up from where he was laying and he nodded. "Must've been something to do with the fact that you starve yourself."

She didn't say anything.

"I started to notice how off you were during our picnic and after you collapsed I spoke to your friends who told me you never seem to eat...why?"

"I don't want to talk about it..."

"You'll have to eventually."

Rey looked up to face him, catching his eyes. 

"I know."

A/N: so it's Sunday and I finally finished updating this chapter. I don't know why but the past week was finals so I didn't have time to finish the chapter, but now summer is coming soon so here comes more updates for my books <3 anyways this chapter is currently unedited but will be edited soon :)
