Chapter 49 - Revenge

My mind has been quiet all these years at hindi pumasok sa isip ko maguguluhan ako ulit pag nakita ko si Liam.

He asked for my number saying he wants to hang out. But even after a week he didn't try to contact me. Kahit isang text ay wala akong natanggap galing sa kanya. Maybe he did it out of courtesy but here I am stupid enough to think it was for real.

Gusto kong maging friends kami ulit. Ang tagal namin hindi nagkita at akala ko pwede na kami maging okay ulit. Time did us good. Hindi naging okay ang break up namin at wala kaming closure but at least he's not mad at me.

I would even go as far as to say that he's happy. I remembered how devastated he is when he left that day outside of my house and how much it pains me to see him leave.

I don't know what happened after that but he didn't come back and didn't once try to reach out to me.

Pero nasa past na iyon lahat. Ayaw ko nang isipin ang mga hindi magandang nangyari. And now we can start again. I hope to have a fresh start with him. Even if they say you can't be friends with an ex I'm still hoping we can.

That is if he wanted to. If he contact me first.

Patago kong sinilip ang phone ko at padabog na tinago sa bag nang wala pa rin text.

Napatingin sa akin si Jianne and pointed at our prof in front. "Baka makita ka ni Sir! Kanina ka pa tingin ng tingin sa phone."

I made a face and started paying attention to his lecture before he can call me out for not listening.

"May nakilala ka ba sa reunion niyo? May inaantay ka atang magtext sayo ah." Sabi ni Jianne after class.

"Kaya nga! Hindi ka pa nagkukwento. Dati lang palagi kang walang load tapos ngayon.." JR trailed with a teasing smile on his lips.

A smile formed my lips too. Nakisali rin sila Daryl at Jherry sa usapan. So I told them what happened during sembreak. Including the reunion party.

"Ahh..." JR gave a knowing smile at ngingiti ngiti lang rin si Daryl.

"So 'yung text na inaantay mo ay galing sa ex mo? 'Yung ex mo? The ex?" Jianne shrugged.

"Iisa lang naman ang ex niya, Ji. May iba pa ba?" Natatawa naman si Jherry sa reaction niya.

"I know but the ex!" She gave emphasis to the word and I shifted uncomfortably.

"Yes, Jianne. The ex. The one and only." Sabi ko para matapos na.

"Wait, did you know kung may girlfriend na siya and what happened kay ate girl na kung dumikit eh parang linta?"

Ngumuso ako. Hindi ko siya kayang itanong kung may girlfriend na ba siya pero kung meron man sigurado naman akong may magsasabi sa akin o may maririnig ako pero wala.

"Sympre hindi ko tinanong."

"Oo nga naman. Alangan after three years 'yun agad ang tinanong niya diba." JR slightly pushed her.

"But why are you waiting for his text?" Tanong ni Daryl na nananahimik lang kanina.

Bumukas ang bibig ko pero sinara ko lang ulit. All of them are looking at me waiting for an answer.

Why am I waiting for his text all week and getting irritated when he didn't text? I don't have an answer.

"Ayun natahimik nalang siya.." Jherry smirked.

They didn't push the answer and instead iniba nalang nila ang usapan na napunta sa 3 pages single spaced reaction paper namin due the day after.

Isa pa iyon sa hindi ko pa nagagawa dahil sa kakatingin sa phone. Sinubukan kong buksan ang ms word pero blanko ang utak ko at isasara ko lang ulit.
