Laurie and Val: The Arranged Marriage

WHAT!!! (Laurie)

2 days before Val's story

Laurie's Pov: I am currently training for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. I am a 5x Olympic gold medalist at the Rio Olympics, But I am also the 2nd princess of Spain.

I was in the gym that my parents had built on our property for me to train in so that I would be safe from people trying to hurt me. My parents walked into the gym where I was currently working on beam and I could tell something was off about the way the expression that they had on their faces, also because they never interrupt me when I am training in the gym.

" Mom, Dad. Is something wrong?" I ask curiously hopping off the beam

" Sweetheart, You are engaged to be married to the 2nd prince of Russia " My father tells me with a smile on his face

" Papa, I am only 19 years old. I am not ready for marriage and what about my training?" I ask my father

" Laurie, You will be able to continue your training in Russia. " My father tells me

" When do I leave for Russia to meet my future husband?" I ask my parents

" You will leave for Russia tomorrow. Which means you will pack all of your Leos and training gear and your regular clothes tonight" My mother tells me

Maybe this won't be so bad. I think to myself.

( Later that night: Laurie packing )

I finished packing my training gear and all my Leos and all of my regular clothes so now I am sitting in my room looking at my three full suit cases when my older siblings walked in.

" Hey , Lolo" They both said in complete unison with sadness in their voice

" Hey, Jey and marc " I say with a sad smile knowing that this was the last night that I would spend with my siblings before moving to Russia to get married

" What are you guys doing up so late?" I ask the curiously noticing the time

" We brought a box so that you could take all of your medals and pictures" They tell me , Filling the box with a medals and pictures

After my medals were packed up along with my pictures in the box I pulled them into a hug.

" I am really going to miss you guys" I tell them letting a few tears slip

" We are going to miss you to so much monkey, But you go to Russia and get married and train and at the Tokyo Olympics find us in the crowd because we will be their cheering you on as you win 5 more gold medals" Marcus tells me with tears in his eyes as my sister nods trying to keep the tears from falling

" I love you guys" I tell them and hug them again

" We love you too " Jeylsa tells me

Jelysa's Pov: My parents told Marcus and I about Laurie's arranged marriage and that she leaves for Russia tomorrow morning. I am so sad but Laurie is probably 10x as sad as I am.

After our parents went to bed Marcus and I went to go see Laurie and give her a box for all of her medals and pictures and when we walked into her room and saw 3 packed suit cases it broke my heart and brought tears to my eyes.

" Hey , Lolo" Marcus and I say to Laurie using her childhood nickname

" Hey, Jey and Marc " She says putting a sad smile on her face

"What are you guys doing up so late?" She asks us

" We brought a box so that you could take all of your medals and pictures " I tell her, helping Marcus fill the box with every single medal and award she has ever won along with every picture on her's

" I'm really going to miss you guys " Laurie tells us giving us a hug

"We are going to miss you to so much monkey, But you go to Russia and get married and train and at the Tokyo Olympics find us in the crowd because we will be cheering you on as you win 5 more gold medals" Marcus tells Laurie fighting back tears while I nod in agreement trying to keep the tears from falling

" I love you guys" Laurie tells us hugging us again

" We love you too " I tell her

After spending about an hour in Laurie's room eating ice cream Marcus and I decide to head to bed to let Laurie get some sleep.

Tonight is the last night that I will spend knowing that my little sister is right down the hall , after tomorrow Laurie won't be here and it will be really different.

Marcus's Pov: Laurie is moving to Russia for an arranged marriage with the 2nd prince of Russia and I am not so happy about Laurie leaving.

Jelysa and I went to help Laurie pack up her medals and pictures but when we walked through the open door to see 3 packed suit cases and Laurie looking around her room probably trying to memorize every imperfection.

Tomorrow Laurie will leave for Russia and it will be really different not seeing my happy little sister walking on her hands or training until midnight trying to perfect her routines being the stubborn perfectionist that she is.

I am so sad but at least I can look forward to seeing Laurie compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
