Laurie and Val: The Arranged Marriage

Labor and delivery @ 39 weeks

Val's Pov:

Laurie is 39 weeks pregnant with our son and we are really excited about meeting him and becoming parents.

Unfortunately, I have Meetings all day long and they can't be rescheduled. So I can't spend time with Laurie today. This sucks.

I woke up early this morning and went to my parents house to ask them for a favor.

" Hey, Val. How's Laurie and our grandson?" Papa asks me

" Both are doing incredible, but that is actually what I came to talk to you about" I tell my dad vaguely

My dad was about to ask me a question when Mama, Mak's and Peta walked into the family room.

" How is my nephew, Val?" Mak's asks me

" Amazing" I tell Mak's

" What do you need, Son?" Mama asks me

" Can you 4 watch Laurie throughout the day?" I ask them

" Why do you want us to watch Laurie?" Mak's asks me

" I want you 4 to watch Laurie because she is 39 weeks pregnant and she could go into labor any day now" I tell Mak's

After a few minutes of talking to them they all finally agreed to watch Laurie while I am in my business meetings.

I went back to my house and made myself breakfast and got dressed and kissed Laurie goodbye and went to my business meetings.

Laurie's Pov:

I am 39 weeks pregnant with Val and I's son and I can't wait for him to get here. I am huge and I can't see my feet.

Val left for business meetings 30 minutes ago so I decided to watch TV.

I started watching Law and Order: SVU when I hear a knock at the door.

I get up and walk to the front door. I open the door to reveal My mother and father-in-law and Mak's and Peta.

" How is my grandbaby?" Larissa asks me

" Incredible " I tell them rubbing my hands over my stomach

" How are you feeling, Laurie?" Peta asks me

" Good. I just can't wait until he is here" I tell them honestly

I let them in and I closed the door and my little baby started to kick.

My face contorted in discomfort and Mak's saw.

" Laurie, Are you okay? Is it time? Do you want me to call Val?" Mak's asks me

I grab Mak's hand and place it on my stomach where My little boy is currently kicking.

After Mak's feels that it's just The Baby kicking he calms down.
