A/N: I want to apologize in advance for updating late, I forgot it was Friday until it was too late. I'm very sorry guys! Enjoy the chapter!

Farouz

She hummed an unfamiliar tune as her feet skipped out from the bathroom and into the kitchen. When Dina saw me flipping a pancake her face lit up with a pearly smile, "you can go shower now," she said, running her hand through her damp hair, "I'll finish this up then we can eat together."

I turned off the stove and turned to face her, leaning back on the counter. Dina stood before me in a navy blue dress that hugged her curves in a way that made me think of telling her not to go out wearing it. No one else should see those parts of her. But I held back, Dina loves her religion and wouldn't wear anything to break it. And if there ever is something that I feel would attract some unwanted attention, I'd discuss it. All my life I've hated men that just tell their wives what to do. Women are wise and aware of their actions, she makes her own decisions.

There's also the fact that, ever since we swam out of that wave, she just looks a million times more beautiful. I didn't even know that was possible. Ever since we got married, even before then, I had this strong admiration, care, and sense of protection. Seeing her filled me with a light feeling, I liked her a lot. I thought I knew that I loved her, it was just a matter of when to tell her. Good thing I waited though, because maybe I did love her. Maybe I fell in love with her when she walked into my office that day. But it didn't hit me how much my of my life is made better by her presence until we broke through the water and I expected her to be scared but all she wanted to do was go again. She keeps surprising me, she keeps me on my feet and I realized how intense my love for her was when I realized that I wished she'd be that excited for the rest of her life so I could see it in her eyes. And at that moment it shot out of my mouth before I could think of the words.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked, her eyebrow quirking upwards.

"You were wearing that same color when I first saw you," I replied, taking a step towards her, "I think that's my favorite color on you."

"You remember what I was wearing?" she tilted her head back to look at me when I took another step.

Faking hurt, I said, "you don't remember what I was wearing?"

She dodged my hug and laughed, "I'm guessing clean clothes and some cologne, not swimming trunks and ocean salt." Her words slowed as her eyes left my face and focused on my bare chest, the intensity of her gaze making my face heat up, even though a smirk swiped across it without me even thinking.

"Getting a little distracted there Dino?"

Her eyes shot back up to mine, now the color in her cheeks matched mine, "um..." she studied the floor, nibbling her lip. Then laughed, "Deeno? Really?"

Shrugging, I said, "I guess."

Dina rolled her eyes, "go shower Farouz, the hunger is messing up your mind."

"You like it," I said as I walked towards the bathroom.

"Okay maybe I do," she laughed, her voice echoing through the small house, "but I like pancakes more so hurry up!"

Dina

I placed two glasses of orange juice on the table just as Farouz walked into the kitchen, running his hands through his hair until it stuck out at odd angles. Without a word, Farouz sat down across from me. The water made us hungry, that plus the lack of food since last night made the two of us eat in silence until we could no longer take it.
