How long is she planning on making me wonder? Is she just gonna show up at my house on some random day?

Wait, that's silly. I'm sure she doesn't remember my address anymore. Come to think of it, I wonder how much about Seoul she really does remember.

Does she remember that little café we used to hang out at after school every Monday? Does she remember the park we always used to play at? Does she remember our elementary school?

"Next in line please!"

"Hi, can I have one mango bubble tea please?"

"Is that all for today?"

"Ne."

"That will be $3.50."

I opened up my wallet looking for a five dollar bill but quickly got distracted when I saw her. The picture we took a few years ago sat in the pocket for photos in my wallet. That way, whenever I opened it, I'd still be able to see her even though we were miles apart.

We both had one arm around each other and the other one making a peace sign. I couldn't help but smile when I saw the expression on our faces. It was as if nothing mattered except our friendship. If I recall correctly, we made two copies of this picture. I wonder where Evelyn has hers. My mind is telling me it's somewhere in the trash or at the bottom of her drawer, but my gut feeling tells me she cherishes it as much as I do.

I hope my gut is right.

"Uh, excuse me sir, do you not have enough money?"

I looked up briefly at the cashier who looked at me skeptically.

"Aniyo, I have enough. Sorry, I just zoned out for a bit," I smiled sheepishly.

The cashier caught a glimpse of my wallet. "Oh! That's such a cute picture! Is that you?" he asked.

Nooo, it's my non-existent identical twin brother, I thought to myself. However I politely replied with, "Yep."

"What about the girl with you?" the cashier questioned. "Is she your girlfriend?" he smirked.

I tried to smile but it came out as more of a grimace. "No, she's my best friend. She moved to Canada a few years ago."

Thankfully the cashier didn't want to question me anymore and just simply nodded and handed me my receipt. I stepped off to the side to wait.

I opened my phone and scrolled through my camera roll. Such a simple conversation with a stranger triggered a need to relive the memories I had with Evie, or at least the ones I captured on camera.

I couldn't help but imagine what she looks like now. I pursed my lips and looked at the ground. Her personality seems to have changed as well. She's not the cute and innocent Evie I remember anymore. Of course, it's not like that matters. She has to still be the same person.

"Order number twenty three!"

Ah perfect, my bubble tea is ready.

Bubble tea... Evie's favourite. I wonder if mango is still Evelyn's favourite.
