When I woke up the next morning, I was in a warm bed instead of a car seat. It would've been fine, of course, if, you know, Jake wasn't sleeping next to me. [Okay, wait a minute I should clarify: I had never had...you know what...in my life and did not in this case so yeah.] But, there he was; an arm wrapped around my midsection and his face buried in my hair. I didn't know what to do, Jake's hawk had landed on my shoulder, Amy was laughing so hard I assumed China could hear her, and I wasn't doing anything. He shifted and released his arm from me but still laid next to me. I sat up to find that my socks and shoes were off and I'd been changed into more comfy clothing. At first, I blushed madly, thinking, 'Jake probably did this,' but then I looked at my shirt to find that it was one of Sadie's. At some point in the night, the others had found a hotel and somehow moved me. My friends, everyone.

"Psst, Tina!" Sadie whispered and I whipped my head and looked at her. Her and Walt were sitting at a table, having coffee [I don't even know where they got it] and breakfast. I joined them and grabbed some cereal from the duat, my final reserves.

"How was sleeping with Jake?" Walt asked with a smirk on his face. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that Sadie had put me there, "You looked pretty comfy."

Gabriel flew over and landed on my shoulder. He pecked at a few pieces of cereal as I said, "I hate you guys."

"Listen, here, Tina," Sadie said, grinning, "We watched you for a bit to see if you were alright and you know how many times you rolled over and hugged Jake? Six times."

My face was likely red. Extremely likely, "Anyways, what do we do now? I mean, Kamehea might've been at the farm but nobody saw him."

"That's what we were talking about," Walt said as he sipped his coffee, "We figured that he could've killed us there. But he needs us. He's trying to capture us."

I considered a moment then said hesitantly, "I, uh, had a dream last night," I explained to them about what Bast had said about Setne and the gods being under Kamehea's control. I left out the part, however, about Amy. I respected Jake's privacy and figured that he should probably tell them. Amy agreed in my mind.

When I finished, Sadie swore in Ancient Egyptian about twenty times, "Agh, Setne! I will kill that worm!"

"He's a ghost," Walt added.

"I don't care!" Sadie said angrily, even though she had no way of being mad at Walt seeing that they were holding hands.

"Hey," A deep, tired voice said from behind me. We whipped around and BAM! There he was.

"Jake!" I yelped.

But that's where I stopped talking because he looked...good. [I'm only saying good because if Sadie found out I said what I was going to say I'll be teased forever.] His hair was messy and tossed around and his shirt was wrinkled. I'd never seen him without shoes on and, I know this is weird, but his feet were kind of handsome...Gods, I am weird.

"I heard the word 'Bast' and thought it was worth joining you guys," Jake said as he grabbed a granola bar from his bag, "What's up?"

And, yet again, I rapid fire explained to him my dream and then hesitated, "Uh...Jake, I-I also saw...someone else."

He cocked his head, "Who?"

"Amy," I breathed, "She was...she was there. We have kind of a thing going. Like you and Bast."

He sat there and stared at the table for ages and when he didn't respond I told him all about the night she came to me and we did the merging thing and how she promised that it would help him and allow her to be with him. He was silent for so long then he grabbed the collar of my shirt and kissed me.

There was a 'oh' from Sadie and Walt made some kind of awkward sound but I didn't care. Jake released me and pressed his forehead to mine.

"You could've told me," He whispered, "I would've understanded."

"Hey!" Sadie said, snapping her fingers, "I hate to ruin your peaceful love moment but, we have to do things that are related to life and-"

"You swear she's in there," Jake said, and the hope and happiness in his eyes was great, "This means that-that finally my-pain it's all...it's all coming together!" He kissed me again and Sadie grabbed us and pulled us apart in exasperation.

"Your dead girlfriend is your real girlfriend. Bloody amazing. Now, instead of making out, maybe we should make fun of Zia and Carter and draw on their faces!" She said this very seriously. However, instead of drawing on them, Jake just shook them violently.

"So, you're saying Setne is back?" Carter asked as we rode the Impala fifteen minutes later, "Gods, that guy..."

"You know him?" Jake asked. Jake was driving as Carter rode shotgun and the rest of us squeezed in the back. Sadly, the only local portal anchor was at my house which was not accessible.

"Me and Zia," Carter said wincing, "We, uh, kind of worked with him and he back stabbed us during the apocalypse. He got away though."

"Ah," Jake laughed, "The fun game of trust the psychopath. Anyways, radio." He pushed the radio power button and turned it up uncomfortably loud to some rap song that happened to be "Clique" by Kanye West.

"Racist!" Walt declared even though it didn't really look like he cared.

Jake gestured around to all of us in turn as he rapped, "Ain't nobody fuckin' with my clique."

"Stop," Sadie said even though I saw the grin on her face, "This is my clique."

"Sadie," He said, laughing, "You're my big sister."

"You're my little brother," She said then looked at me, "You need to be a good girlfriend to my little brother."

"Jake," I sighed, "Turn up the friggin' radio."
