[Wow, Jake, you must be a lady magnet! Letting girls kiss you? How rebellious! No, Jake, that's sarcasm. Yeah that's right go cry. It's my turn!]
I would kindly like to add, however, that I opened the portal to my house, so I am not completely useless. Told you, Satan! Anyways I digress.
We stepped into my house through the portal and Rachel almost killed herself. She yelped and jumped back but ended up falling on more of Tyler's toys, the things she slipped on. Tyler looked very confused because one second he was playing with his toy army soldiers and suddenly 6 girls showed up out of the statue. I smelled baking cookies waft through my old home and I smiled at Tyler.
"Tina! Tina!" Tyler squealed and hugged me, "I knew you'd come home, I knew it!"
"Hi baby," I murmured, kissing his head and ruffling his hair, "You holding in there?"
Seriously, I know kids can be a bit annoying sometimes but sometimes they are cuties. Tyler was so small, so innocent, so good.
'And if we need him to fight,' I thought, 'Will he be able too?'
Amy said nothing which scared me as Tyler introduced himself to all the other girls. But I heard two sets off adult footsteps coming down the stairs and I started forming my excuses for being here.
"Tyler?" My dad called out, "Are you talking to someone down there?"
Tyler ran to the stairs and called up, "Daddy! Mommy! Tina is here, Tina is here!"
There was a stop of the footsteps and I winced as the people came down the steps and if you guessed it was my parents you've won the game.
Dad looked steely calm while Mom just seemed to be quietly staring. Almost unnaturally.
I scratched the back of my neck, "Hey, there...Dad."
Dad didn't speak for a bit but then the tension went out of his shoulders, "Oh, baby, I'm so glad we didn't have to track you down."
"Uhh, bit sinister," Sadie murmured, "Can I ask what it means?"
Another person trotted down the stairs and immediately I recognized his wavy blond hair and skater clothes as Dad said, "Your friend Dylan offered to keep an eye on you as we keep you in here."
"Sir, you can't do that!" Lia, surprisingly, shouted, "She's a free woman!"
"Damn right," Rachel growled, "She isn't yours to keep."
Dad had a sinister smile on his face as Dylan grinned while my father said, "Christina, don't you see? Dylan here is a magician! A descendent of the great Setne!" Dylan waved his fingers at me and I could tell something happened to my dad. An Dylan had something to do with it. My dad continued, "Christina, it's simple. Jake will notice you are all missing and come here. And we'll tell him that the only way to get you back is for him to lay down his arms. The conflict will be solved!"
As Dad reached out to me, I instinctively backed up and grabbed something close to me for reassurance. That happened to be Tyler's hand and I felt better as I said, "Dad, this isn't right and you know it. This is insane! Jake is my..." I searched my head for a word and one left my mouth, "boyfriend. Jake is my boyfriend, Dad, and much like he would lay down his arms for me," I pulled out a wand and staff, "I would raise arms for him."
All hell broke loose. My dad lunged for me but Zia forced him back with a small flame. Tyler yelled 'stop!' as Lia shot a crossbow bolt which hit Dylan's shoulder, making him fail a binding spell he was readying. Mom pulled out her wand and staff but Rachel used wind and blew the weapons out of her hands. I went back into fighting and not observing mode and kicked my Dad in the you-know-what which made him double over and I, with more Amy's fighting skill, rolled over his back then punched Dylan in the shoulder which made him scream as the bolt pushed farther into his shoulder. I kicked him again and he went down.
