Percy

Dad was right. I barely had any dreams. And the ones I did have were good ones.

"Percy." Dad shook me. I yawned and sat up.

"I'm up." Stretching I turned to look at him. He had a worried expression on his face. "What?"

Sighing he sat on the chair next to the hammock.

"I'm worried about you Percy." He looked up at me.

I tilted my head, waiting for him to continue.

"You should have said something. To me. To the Avengers. To anybody."

"My flaw." I was trying to find the right words.

"What about it?"

"I'll do anything to keep you guys safe. Anything. If I have to be killed or tortured to keep you guys safe I will. I'll even keep you out of any situation like this."

Dad sighed. "I told a similar thing to your friends. Speaking of which we need to get to camp. I don't want to leave them there without you for too long."

"Good idea." I slid out of the hammock.

Dad pulled me towards him. "I meant what I said when I told you I was sorry that you were born. But I'm proud of you Percy. A hero's fate is not kind. But you are doing well."

I didn't know how to respond. "Uh thanks, I think."

Dad laughed. "Let's get you down to camp. We don't want Stark getting killed."

"Between the Aphrodite, Athena, and Hephaestus cabins he's probably loving the attention."

Dad touched my shoulder. "Be careful Percy."

I disappeared.

Then I reappeared in the middle of camp.

"Percy!" A satyr bleated before tackling me.

"Hey G-Man. What's up?" I stumbled but didn't fall.

"Drama King." Thunder rumbled.

We laughed. "That just proved my point!"

Grover punched my shoulder. "Never do that again. We still have the empathy link you know."

"Good. Because knowing you you are going to get in a lot of trouble."

"Who's talking Jackson?"

I gave a troublemaker's grin.

"Oh yeah your friends are over at the Big House." Grover said.

"Okay. See you later. Got to make sure Stark doesn't do anything."

He nodded.

I took off towards the Big House.

A lot of the new campers stared at me while the older ones yelled hi.

Well. Clarisse yelled "I'm going to murder you Prissy!"

Nice to see some things never change.

I jumped over a mine. I recognized it as one of the Stoll's reappropriated glitter mines.

They really have to stop stealing from the Ares' cabin.

I finally made it to the Big House. I walked inside to see the Avengers talking with Chiron. Although he was in his wheelchair.

"Hey Chiron." I said standing in the doorway.

He turned, a smile on his face. "Percy, my boy! How are you?"
