Lucy stood in the living room of the Gru home.  She was unpacking her last box from her old apartment.  She had been married to Gru for several months now, but her new family had kept her so busy, that she was just now unpacking everything.  This box was full of some of her favorite books.  She walked over to the bookshelf, and started to stack her novels.  Then, she noticed several large pink books that were already on the shelf.

She set down her box, and pulled one of the books off of the shelf.

Margo walked into the room, saw Lucy, and walked over.

"What are you doing, mom?" Margo asked.

Lucy smiled.  She loved when the girls called her that.

"I just found these books.  I don't think I've ever seen them before." Lucy replied.

"Oh!  Those are our photo albums, from our time that we've been living here!" Margo exclaimed, excitedly.  "I put that one together." She said, pointing to the one that her mother was holding.  "It's from Agnes's birthday party."

"Aw!  How sweet!" Lucy opened the cover and looked through the pictures.  She saw bounce castles and fishing pools.  Agnes and all of her little friends were dressed up as princesses, and Lucy found it adorable.

"That's Kyle, dressed up as a dragon." Margo pointed.  "And, those are the minions dressed up as the knights!"

"Did you take all of these pictures?" Lucy asked her.

"Most of them.  One of the neighborhood moms took a couple for me, so that I could be in some of them." She replied.  "Ooh!  This was the best part!" Margo pointed to another picture.

Lucy looked and saw Gru in a blond curly wig, covered in pink ruffles, and holding a glittery wand.

"Oh my gosh!" Lucy exclaimed.  "Is that your dad?"

"Yep." Said Margo.  "He originally hired a professional fairy princess, since Agnes wanted one so bad, but she cancelled on him last minute."

"So he went and dressed up as one himself." Lucy whispered.

She felt her heart melting.  This was, yet another example of how far he would go for his girls.

"Hey, what are you all doing?" She heard, and looked up.

It was Gru, looking down at them kneeling in front of the bookshelf.

She wiped the tears that had started to come up in her eyes, and stood up.

"We were just looking through old pictures." Margo answered.

He looked down and saw the picture that they were looking at.

"Oh." He grinned sheepishly.  "That one.  Haha."

Lucy threw her arms around him, and felt tears starting to well up, again.

"I love it." She whispered.

He felt his face start to turn a little red, and then squeezed her harder.
