16 | We Can't Lose!

"You see, in order to make your friend alive, you're going to have to play my game," Yuunoa smirked.

Blythe and Guren both looked at each other, enraged on what their mother had just did.

"And that would be gambling, correct?" Guren asked, standing up.

"Yes my boy! You are correct!" Yuunoa exclaimed.

"What do we have to do, then?" Blythe asked, glaring at her mother.

"I'll split you guys into pairs. All you have to do is come out of this emotional maze alive," Yuunoa explained.

"Emotional maze?" Mimmy asked, confused.

"You see, we'll be gambling on who can make it our without being emotionally scarred, Sakurada. I will put you guys into a maze that reveals deep, dark secrets of your inner selves. You guys will venture in the maze and find your way out, without dying of shock or depression!" Yuunoa informed, winking at the end of her sentence.

"I see what you mean. If we win, Satou-kun will stay alive, right?" Erissa asked, slowly letting go of Satou and standing up.

"Yes, Toudou-chan! If one of you dies or gets emotionally scarred, Yasaki dies. If you all are fine at the end, Yasaki will live with a 50% chance of death since he can't use anymore healing magic. But be warned, this maze is very emotionally painful, I will tell you that," Yuunoa responded.

"Just put us into groups already," Blythe glared, holding onto her guns in case her mother were to do something bad.

"Fine, fine. Toudou-chan and Guren. Blythe and Sakurada. Hyuga and Fibel," Yuunoa smirked, then walked up to the group.

"Okay! I'll send my dear son and his friend first, then," Yuunoa put her hand in front of the two.

They got transported to what seemed like a magical garden.

"Is this really the maze?" Erissa asked, expecting a gloomy setting.

"I can't even believe what my mother said if this is the maze," Guren added.

The two walked up the entrance of the maze, walking into a labyrinth of trees and bushes.

"Is your mother joking or something?" Erissa asked, irritated by how both Guren and her were walking in a maze full of futile bushes and trees.

"I really hope so, but knowing her, we're probably not even close to completing the maze if nothing happened to us yet," Guren explained.

"I see."

The two just kept walking in complete silence, taking twists and turns as they walked into the maze.

"Guren, what happens if we lose?"

Guren looked at the idol worriedly.

Knowing the group, Guren knew that they wouldn't let Satou die.

The only person he couldn't trust was Natsumi, for she lost her memories.

Guren pat the idol's head and smiled.

"We won't lose. I'll bring Satou-kun back, no matter what," Guren assured.

Erissa nodded, glad that Guren said those words to her.

"Guren, look at this," Erissa tugged Guren's cape.

Guren looked at what Erissa was pointing at.

It looked like it was a normal bush from the outside, but once you got closer, you could see it was a door.

Guren opened the door, surprised that sudden darkness followed.
