19 | Blythe Yuuki, the Feared Assassin

The Yuuki clan was specialized in assassinating using knives and guns.

Yuunoa May Yuuki was the head of the clan. She controlled all of the family, meaning she could do whatever she wanted.

Blythe Yuuki was the second born child to take the head of the Yuuki family.

The first born child, Guren Yuuki, was fated to take the head of the family rather than his younger sister.

Both of them were forced by family tradition to continue the art of assassins.

Though, mostly Guren was forced.

Being the future head of the family, Guren was forced to know every single technique of the Yuuki clan.

Guren would then teach it to his younger sister, Blythe.

Blythe became an official assassin at the age of 9, while Guren became an assassin at age 12.

But, soon after the two became assassins, their mother decided to reveal something to the siblings.

"Guren, Blythe. This world is full of magic, you two being born with only futile magic spells because of your father's mistakes. But, did you two know that you were about to have demon lord magic?"

Guren immediately walked out of the room. Blythe looked at her mother confusedly.

"Demon lord magic?"

"Yes, my dear Blythe. A long time ago, a god and a goddess were about to give birth to three heroes. Once they did, an almighty demon lord wanted to keep one for herself. She kidnapped one, but the goddess wanted to take her back. Since the demon lord failed at keeping a child, she disguised as a human. She got ownership to one of the children, then—"

Guren suddenly entered the room again and slapped his mother.

Blythe just looked at the two.

"Say another word to her and you're good as dead. Yes, I will kill you," Guren threatened.

"Aniki, why did you slap mother?" Blythe asked, confused at what was happening.

Yuunoa smirked at Guren, who just glared at her.

"You see Blythe, your dear brother won't let me say anything to you. It must be dangerous to say," Yuunoa pouted.

"Can you tell me, Aniki?" Blythe asked her older brother.

Guren sighed and immediately looked at Blythe.

"I cannot tell you this, Blythe. Sorry. Though, if your mother says anything I will kill her. Don't ask her anything about this if you don't want her dead," Guren then walked out of the room, slamming the door.

That was the last time Blythe ever got into contact with her mother.

Guren was about to move out of the Yuuki house in Tokyo and went all the way to Kyoto.

Blythe wanted to go, but her mother simply refused.

"I will take Blythe with me. I won't accept no as an answer for this, you're simply too dangerous."

Yuunoa smirked, hugging Blythe.

"You, take Blythe to Kyoto? Guren, your sister has a lot to learn here," Yuunoa smiled.

Guren took out a knife and held it to his mother's neck.

Giving in, Yuunoa gave Blythe to Guren and the two moved to Kyoto.
