"I don't want to do this."

Guren Yuuki was always considered a test subject.

Ever since he was born, that's what he had been.

To prevent depressing feelings, Guren would always be very nice to his sister and his two best friends.

Until one day, he was once again considered a test subject.

An evil magic organization called the Divine Research of Magic Institution had called for Guren to be tested on.

Project "Death's Return" was what they wanted to test Guren on.

Rejecting the decision, he ran from it.

Guren Yuuki did not want to be a test subject anymore.

All he wanted was to protect Blythe Yuuki, Erissa Toudou, and Satori Yasaki.

However, he failed.

He failed very, very badly.

His dear friend got involved in the project.

He couldn't stop it.

Guren had done everything to run away from the ever coming nightmare.

But the only people he failed to protect were the ones he loved.

Possessed, Erissa killed poor souls of Hoshinorion students in order for the project to continue.

Guren wanted to stop her.

But that would mean killing her.

Guren didn't want to do that.

So instead, Guren got mad and threatened to kill his lover.

His sister then appeared and killed him.

Guren had asked his sister to keep a secret for him.

His actual last words.

Keeping the promise, Blythe kept Guren's actual last words a secret, saying fake ones to make sure no one knew the truth.

After reviving Guren using the souls of the people Erissa had killed, he wanted to go back to Erissa.

He wanted to apologize to Blythe for dying in her arms.

He wanted to apologize to Erissa for lying.

He wanted to apologize to Satou for leaving him behind.

But the organization had forced Guren to do unbelievable things.

And now, there he was.

In front of the people he loved.

Trying to kill them.

Blythe Yuuki, his precious emotionless little sister.
