By the time I had finished with Monique it was damn near 10pm, so I texted Tj and told him I was going to have to cancel my Dick appointment because I didn't have time to be up all night because I had to cover this Girl shift in the morning at work.
Monique and I finished up the night by grabbing some Waffle House because she hadn't eaten all day, and the last time I ate was with Tj.
Me and this girl literally planned Regina's baby shower in one day! I mean we was in and out of stores like clock work, but it's going to be really nice though. Regina was a close friend to us, we all started 9th grade together and she had a super crush on me, but I never gave her the time or day because she was basically in an off and on relationship with this guy she always talked about, and low and behold me and Monique use to attend 5th grade with him, and I didn't like him then, and still don't like him cause last year at her birthday dinner, nigga was mean mugging me the whole night!
I wanted to get up and be like, "aye yo! Nobody want your damn girl! So you can chill with that shit!" You know go a little New York on his ass, but I was being a good friend, and didn't want no drama!
"You think Regina is going to like her baby shower?" I asked Nique as the our food was being brought out
"She better, had us running around all day planning the damn thing, I don't know why she wanted us, instead of having her damn mama plan it," she said cutting her waffle
"True that because they act just like best friends, but hey, what do we know," I said taking a sip of my ice tea
"I know everybody better show up, and her family better not act completely ghetto like they never been to a nice event before because then Ima have to get ghetto," she said throwing her hands up like she was going to fight
"Nique you know damn well you think you are a Caucasian, and most likely will say you don't have time for this, and leave!" I said busting out laughing
"Honestly, Truly! You know me so well!" She said doing her rich white woman voice
"It's crazy how we have been friends for almost 10 years! Like what! Who would've ever known! I hope once we go off to college, that we will stay in touch cause you only get a good friend like this once," I said taking a bite of my sandwich
"Awww! Stop before you make me cry! But for real though! Especially when we split 7th & 8th grade, and we said we was going to meet back up and go to the same high school, and low and behold we did," she said smiling made hard
"Right! It was destiny, we were meant to be Juliet!" I said laughing hard as hell
"Nigga shut your ass up, and lets go cause you did say your got to be to work at 7, and it's 11:30," she said getting up grabbing her purse
6:00 flashed through my Clock as I got up feeling like shit, Nique was right! I definitely am dead tired, but gotta make this moolah one way or another.
I Got up and jumped in the shower to wake myself up, washed up, got my uniform on, and was out the door. I got to work with a little time to spare, so I decided to jump on Snapchat real quick to see what I missed from last night cause when I got home I went straight to sleep
As I was scrolling through watching everyone snap, Daquan's snap began to play, and he was all hugged up with this girl, I don't know why but a flash of anger came across me, but I shook it off and kept on playing his snap, and they were up there kissing and calling each other bae and all this shit.
I closed out of Snap, and just sat there like, am I really angry over this Nigga, when I have a whole man that I just told I wanted to be with, I closed my eyes, and just began to reflect over my choices, and try to clear my mind before I headed in.
After I was clocked in I headed into the break room, and someone turned the lights out in there, so I went to turn it on, and saw Daquan laying there sleep, figures I would be working with him today, so I kept it pushing and grabbed my stuff out my locker, low key being hella loud. Clearly it worked cause I heard him beginning to wake up
"Damn You being Hella Loud," he said in a raspy voice
"Really, I'll try not to next time," I said heading towards the door
"So you just going to act like you wasn't supposed to call me like a whole week ago?" He said taking his shirt off, changing into his work shirt
"Oh My Bad just been busy lately, really didn't cross my mind," I said dryly
"Why you acting all stank this morning? Obviously you need some dick or something cause you being rude as fuck!" He said mean mugging me
" Well I'm pretty sure you know all about Dicking someone down," I said smacking my lips
"And what the hell that supposed to mean," he said walking closer to me
"I don't know, why don't you go ask that girl you was all hugged up on Snap last night," I said looking him up and down
"Ohhhh Wow so you mad you wasn't getting the dick last night, You the one that didn't let me know anything for a whole week, so I was supposed to sit by the phone waiting for your call, that's not how things work around here son," he said putting his name tag on
"You really funny nigga, I just find it real funny how you can be all up in me just last week, and telling me how much you like me, and I'm special and all this bullshit, but then can go fuck some random broad the next day, get the fuck outta of here, but I don't even know why I'm sitting here explaining this with you, I got someone that's here for me, and wouldn't do some shit like that to me, so I'm good," I said walking out the door before he stopped me
"What the fuck you mean you got someone?" He said holding on to my arm
"Nigga don't worry about it, you continue on living your life like you are, and I'm going to do the same, I don't got to explain nothing to you cause you ain't my nigga," I said snatching my arm away, walking out the break room.
As I was in the kitchen checking codes, I just sat there and thought, like I really needed that, I needed to see him on snap with that chick, and end up seeing him at work, to be able to let him out of my mind, and have full focus on Tj and the relationship we are in now.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by Daquan walking into the cooler with me.
"So who the Fuck is this nigga you supposed to be with now," he said looking me up and down
"Why you worried about it, just drop it, I wasn't and is not your nigga now, so who ever I'm with should not concern you," I said trying to pass him
"It does concern me, when we done slept together, and act like we didn't share that moment that night," he said grabbing on to my waist
"Come on Daquan, you said out your mouth that you fucked a whole bitch last night, lets be honest, you know you was not thinking about me when you was all inside her," I said rolling my eyes
"But how do you know I wasn't though," he said grabbing on to my ass, leaning in trying to kiss me
"Daquan! Quit the Bs, we not together, I'm with someone, and that's that, so just let it go, that's why I didn't want to sleep with you in the first place cause I didn't want this to happen, and now it is," I said waking out the cooler
"Jason stop fronting like you didn't enjoy the sex, and like you don't have a thing for me deep down inside," he said waking behind me
"Lower your voice first off, and I don't, that night we was high, and like I said we had a lot of sexual tension built up and it happen, it was just meaningless sex, and now we just got to keep it pushing," I said making an order
"Last night with that girl was meaningless sex, the sex I had with you meant something, and I wasn't all that high either, I knew what I wanted, and I got it, and I'm getting upset at the fact, that you keep downplaying that night we had," he said bumping off my order
"Can you please go to the register, and just let it go, what is done is done," I said passing out the order
"Yeah Ok! I'm going to drop it for now, but best believe, you enjoy this so call relationship you are in cause you will be coming back to me cause Temptation always wins!" He said winking before waking away.
