Chapter 20: Everything Was Perfect
“I can’t believe we’re doing this,” I whisper squealed, excitement and nervousness flowing through my body.
“Come on, Nina,” Ryder urged, since it was only Dylan and I left.
“Okay, okay, I’m coming big shot, I’m coming,” I muttered as Dylan helped me through the window. I was thrown into the cluster of the groups all in the dark classroom.
“Everyone meet back here in a half hour,” Ryder warned, carrying a bag of his supplies. Everyone carried their own black bags and we were all assembled in black clothes. It felt like Mission Impossible, play the theme song and we would be good to go. Everyone departed to start their own plans.
“Where do you want to start?” Dylan asked, sifting through his bag of mischief.
“Whose class is this?” I wondered aloud, only to receive a shrug from Dylan. He sauntered out of the door, and looked at the classroom number.
“Mr. Woaring’s,” He smirked, knowing just how much I hate this boring old man.
“Perfect,” I laughed evilly, like you know, the Mwahaha laugh. I picked up a red marker and started writing huge letters on the board.
“Were you actually daydreaming about me this morning? I forgot to ask,” He wondered aloud, before moving through the desks to the back of the room. My mind wandered to earlier this morning, my cheeks growing red from embarrassment.
“Of course not,” I snapped, the anger rushing through me once again.
“Jeez, okay, okay!” He held up his hands innocently and I rolled my eyes, getting to work. Dylan did his own thing around the room, but I was too in the moment to acknowledge it. I stepped back and admired my writing.
“This Boaring Class Needs To Have A Little Fun!”
Dylan walked beside me and scoffed. “You serious right now?” He walked over to Mr. Woaring’s chair and unscrewed the bolts so that when he sat, he would fall to the floor along with the chair.
“Deadly,” I deadpanned, reveling in the fact that I was finally doing something wrong. We left the classroom to start messing with another class or part of the school.
Let Senior Prank Day begin.
18 Hours Before
“Guess what?!” Amber squealed, running over to the courtyard where we were all lounging around, either on the grass or the tables. I was currently in between Dylan’s legs, my back pushed up against his chest as I played with his one hand, and his free hand was twirling my own hair. Playing with my hair seemed to calm him for some reason, he always played with it until I or he fell asleep.
“What?” Jack answered, since no one bothered to acknowledge her little squeal of joy as she bounded over here, my brother only a few steps behind her.
“Tonight is Senior Prank Night,” She started, building up the suspense. Everyone’s heads snapped up at this new piece of information. She was absolutely right, today was Thursday which meant that tonight was Senior Prank Night, and tomorrow was Senior Prank Day. This was the one night and day where all the seniors go crazy pranking all the teachers, classrooms, and even younger classmen.
We have been planning for this one night for the past three years, and I cannot believe it’s finally going to happen.
“You all know what we plan on doing, correct? Ryder has gone out with a few of the boys to buy us supplies, wear black and meet here at midnight,” She instructed, her tone so sharp and powerful, no one dared to disagree. “And second!” Her face lit up for whatever good news was coming our way. “My parents have agreed to let us go down to the lake house for the weekend!”
