The Black Lake

Albus's POV

I watch as Scorpius runs out of the library. I know he doesn't have anything he needs to do. That little idiot thinks he can make me stay alone with Y/n. Not a chance. I'm going to have a little fun with this.

"What was that all about?" I hear Y/n ask.

"Oh, um. That was nothing. He's just weird."

"Ok. Anyway. The other day when you and Scorpius were arguing about who Scorpius had a crush on, I never heard anything about the trio or a name. So, what were you talking about?" She spits out quickly.

"We were talking about who I like," I say boldly.

"Well who is this girl?"

"Well, she's in Slytherin and is very smart. She's kind and funny and beautiful."

"Awe. Who is it?" She asks. I am not gonna tell her that easily.

"That's for me to know and you to never find out. I gotta run. Bye!" I say getting up and running out. Ok that is not how I wanted that to go. I run out of the library and wait by the door. Hopefully she follows me.

I hear the quick tapping of a pair of running feet. I'm guessing it's Y/n so I move from my hiding place and start to run.

"Potter! I swear I'm going to kill you if you don't tell me what your doing!" she yells at me. She's fast but not a fast enough. I have enough of a lead I run to the Slytherin common room and up into the boys dorm.

I can't believe I beat her. I didn't know she was that fast. Now I just have to stay here for the rest of the school year.

Y/n POV
I run into the Slytherin common room just to see Albus duck into the boys dorm. That dork does know he will have to come down eventually. I'll just wait here. The couches are pretty comfy so I'll just have to sit here and not fall asleep. As long as I don't leave I'll be able to catch him. Just then I here footsteps and whispering.

"Is she down there?"

"I can't see!"

"Then go down there and look, Scorpius!" I laugh hearing Scorpius and Albus fighting. I decided to have some fun. I here foot steps get closer so I hide behind a couch.

"I don't see her." After this I here two pairs of foot steps go over near the exit. I pop up and yell at them.

"Where do you think your going?"

"Scorpius! You said she wasn't down here!" With that the boys start running but not fast enough. I catch up to them and tackle Albus. We lay on the floor laughing until we hear Scorpius.

"Are you guys going to get food or lay there all day. I hope there is pudding!" We got up and ran to the great hall to get food.

It's finally the weekend and Albus, Scorpius, and I decide to spend the day by the lake. We snuck food from the kitchen and used a blanket from a the Slytherin common room to have a picnic. It was a really nice fall day and I was so excited to be outside.

The boys finally get here and we ate the food they brought. We had chicken and pumpkin juice and treacle tart. After we finished all the food I took out the candy I had gotten from honey dukes at the last Hogsmead trip.

"Wow Y/n! This is the best picnic ever!" Scorpius said while eating a sugar quill.

"Thanks. It so nice out."

"Well let's do something. I'm bored," Albus complained.

"Fine. Let's play tag!" We run around for almost an hour playing tag. I am busy running away from Scorpius. I look behind me. That was a mistake. I trip over a rock and slip. The recent rain fall had made the mud by the lake slippery. I feel cold then nothing.

Albus's POV

I watch Scorpius chase Y/n. She is really fast. Then I watch in horror as Y/n looks behind her and slips. She falls into the lake. She can swim. Right? Oh no.

"Y/n!" I scream her name and run to the lake. Without thinking I jump in it's cold but I don't care. I see her starting to sink and I swim as fast as I can. I reach her and try to pull her up. My lack of oxygen and her added weight makes it almost impossible to swim up. Some how I reach the surface gasping for air.

I set her on the grass and climb out of the lake. I pick her up and run as fast as I can towards the hospital wing. It feels like an eternity but I eventually get there. I lay her on a bed and get Madam Pomfrey.
