A/N: This was totally inspired by the song 'My Heart I Surrender' by I Prevail. I think the actual song is not as happy ending as I made this oneshot, but it's an amazing song nonetheless.
(Disclaimer: any medical stuff I wrote in here is probably so freaking inaccurate but I don't care I just needed an angsty prompt okay, let me live. Also, there's a mention of flowers and the meaning behind them and if it's wrong just blame it on shitty research I did in like 5 minutes.)
Alright, hope you enjoy, and I cannot be held accountable for any emotions wrecked reading this oneshot.

Ally sat in the uncomfortable plastic chair, Lauren's hand gripped firmly in her own as the younger girl laid unconscious in the hospital bed. It had been over a day since the two had been in a car accident, the only evidence on Ally being the gauze covering a long gash on her forearm and the cuts and bruises on her cheek.
Lauren, however, was not so lucky, taking the brunt of of the impact. She suffered a broken wrist, a couple of broken ribs, which then punctured her lung and had to have surgery to repair. Ally was most worried about the concussion the younger girl suffered, and the fact that she had yet to regain consciousness.
"Lauren, baby, I need you to wake up, please," the blonde begged in a broken voice, tears spilling down her cheeks. This was the first chance since the accident that she had the chance to see her girlfriend, and she hated it. The other girl looked so battered and bruised, Ally just wanted to take away her injuries and make everything okay again. "Please, Lo, I need you to wake up. Because we were supposed to live out this dream together, and I can't do that if you're not here," she explained, squeezing the younger girl's hand tightly.
A knock on the room's door sounded, before Dinah hesitantly poked her head through. "Is it alright if Mani and I come in?" she asked quietly.
Ally sat up, sniffling. She wiped away the stray tears before looking at the younger girl. "Yeah, it's fine," she replied hoarsely, struggling to contain her tears.
Dinah opened the door, rushing over to pull the shorter girl into a hug. "It's alright, Ally, just let it out now," she whispered, running her hand up and down the other girl's back.
Ally shook her head, trying to keep back a sob, but when Normani walked in and joined the hug, it was like a dam broke and the sobs just wouldn't stop. "I can't lose her," she cried between sobs. "I don't know what I'd do without her."
Dinah moved to sit in one of the chairs, pulling the older girl into her lap. "You're not going to lose her, Ally," she stated.
"Yeah, it's Lauren, she's the toughest girl we know," Normani added, sitting the other chair next to the two. She took one of Ally's hands in her own. "She'll fight to come back to you, just watch."
"Lauren's not even that tough," the oldest girl mumbled, laughing sadly. "Her badass persona is just a front."
The younger two laughed.
"Oh, we know," Dinah replied, giving a small smile. "She followed you around like a lovestruck puppy for the longest time."
"Even when she was with Lucy she still looked at you like a lost puppy," Normani agreed.
The shorter blonde smiled sadly. "God, I love her so much," she mumbled into Dinah's shoulder, the younger one tightening her hold. "I just need her to wake up."
Normani and Dinah shared a look, trying to figure out how to cheer their friend up. They couldn't make Lauren wake up, unfortunately, but maybe they could distract Ally for a little bit.
