- nathan was adopted by a very wealthy brooklyn family a little over a year ago. before then he lived off the streets like a savage and ran from orphanage to orphanage until his new fathers saw him and instantly understood that he was to be their son.

- nathan's real name isn't nathan joseph rickards, but is actually theseus samuel jackson. his middle and last name changed to joseph rickards due to rickards being the last name of his new family and joseph being the name of one of his adoptive fathers. only his parents and siblings call him seph, which makes him feel more like a part of the family.

- most of the people who know nathan believe that the glasses he occasionally wears are fake and is his attempt to be a hot nerd/geek or hipster. those glasses are actually his reading glasses that he needs, but allows people to go on with their own accusations to hide the fact that he actually is a total book nerd.

- he now takes many self defense classes such as tai kwon do and boxing due to finally being able to afford such things. he takes them due to him always feeling vulnerable with hand to hand combat, which he struggled with before joining his new family. he never wanted to use his god like powers on a mortal being, no matter how cruel or inhumane they were. the main reason for his training is to prepare himself for human dangers such as thievery gone wrong. when he was eight years old, he was actually sexually assaulted by the guardian of his second orphanage, which forced him always go from orphanage to orphanage and stay no longer than a week at one.
