—————WONWOO SIGHED. Again. For the twenty-fifth time today. You cannot even use the word ‘today’ kasi kakasimula pa lang ng araw; it’s only 7:43 in the morning.
Seungkwan glances to his hyung who looks agitated—no, he is actually agitated. Seungkwan could see it with the way he fidgets all the things within his reach: the souvenir from Australia that’s almost broken because of his hyung spinning it round and round, the notepad that’s crumpled with the way he clutches it repeatedly and his phone that’s dissembled.
Kitang kita ni Seungkwan ang battery, memory card, sim card and ‘yung back part ng phone, nakakalat sa desk ng hyung niya. That pretty much served as his confirmation that Wonwoo who is calm, quiet and composed all the time is actually tensed and restless as of this moment.
Seungkwan thought it’s Wonwoo’s personal battle but when he looked around, he sees Jeonghan leaning his head against the doorframe and absentmindedly poking it repeatedly. His eyes were droopy and the side of his mouth is dropped—which is very unusual.
He also sees his Jihoon hyung, who’s always badmouthing the cafeteria’s breakfast every morning, facing the desk—quietly. Seungkwan takes a peak on his Jihoon hyung at nakabukas lang mata nito. Iisipin pa lang sana niya na tulog ito but his Jihoon hyung never sleeps with his eyes, wide—oh, his hyung’s eyes can’t be wide—with his eyes open.
He knows Mondays are always the worst for students, especially for them, the class representative or the class presidents because they always have to lead their classmates to do the flag ceremony properly; it’s never an easy job because everyone feels too lazy to even raise their left hand properly and recite their school’s oath.
Pero hindi niya kailanman nakitang ganito kaproblemado ang mga hyungs niya with just that problem. Actually, sunbae-nim niya sila kaya dapat sanay na sila sa ganong problema.
So what seems to be the problem?
He flinched when Jihoon groaned and slammed his head against the desk. Seungkwan immediately stood up and took the nearest throw pillow. When Jihoon’s about to slam his head against the desk again, he puts the throw pillow on the table so instead of the desk, Jihoon’s head lands on the pillow.
“Thanks, Seungkwan.” Jihoon mumbled. It sounded so muffled, siguro dahil nagsalita siya na may unan sa mukha niya.
“Hyungs,” Seungkwan tries to open up a conversation because he is getting worried. His hyungs are awfully spacing out. “magfla-flag ceremony na. Hindi pa ba kayo mag-aannounce sa telecom?”
Wonwoo raises his left hand and makes confusing hand signals. He did that for three times in a row and Seungkwan still doesn’t get what it means so he looks at Jeonghan instead. Jeonghan seems to understand his worry.
“He said, tell Seokmin to do it. We need to have a meeting so we’ll ask the vice presidents to do it for us.”
Seungkwan tilts his head and wonders how Jeonghan got that much message with just minimal gestures of Wonwoo’s hand.
But then again he remembers that Jeonghan and Wonwoo understands each other the most—next to Soonyoung who’s late again and then him and lastly, Jihoon; though Jihoon doesn’t even exerts that much effort to understand any of them so that’s pretty much graspable. As soon as he sent the message to Seokmin, he confusingly looks to Jeonghan.
“Meeting? What for?”
“Ugh.” Jihoon groaned, this time nakatingala na sa kanila. He threw his arms out in the air in infuriation. “This is so annoying. Seungkwan, don’t even ask for it. Masisira lang umaga—no buhay mo.”
