The Kiss

ANDY'S PERSPECTIVE

Gerard asked to meet him in the food court at noon.

It's 12:03. Here I am. Where's Gerard?

I see his bright red hair coming through the door.

"Andy!" He says, throwing his arms around me in a hug. It takes me a second to hug back, but I do.

We only used the food court as a meeting place. We quickly walk through the mall to Hot Topic.

We know we'll be recognized there, and that's the point. Hopefully the store clerks will let us in the back to have a quiet place to talk.

"Are you- Gerard Way? Holy shit you're Andy fucking Biersack! Oh my god! Oh damn-"

"Can you take us into the back?" I whisper to the black haired clerk girl.

"Yeah- yeah. Right this way." We follow her through a door into a small, merch-filled room.

"Can we talk in private?" Gerard asks of the girl standing awkwardly next to us.

"Sure! Sure. Call me if you need anything!" The girl leaves, clearly shocked and overjoyed.

Gerard and I pull up boxes to sit on. We talk for hours and hours- it seems.
We talk about our bands and our breakups, about our songs and our hair, about everything. I can say that Gerard and I were pretty close friends after that.

I pull out my phone to check the time. Gerard leans over to see as well. And as I raise my head back up, my lips are locked.

Gerard's soft lips caress mine. He puts his hands on my neck and kisses me gently. I don't pull back, and that scares me. All I can think about is how good his lips feel with mine.

Finally, he pulls away. Licking his lips he says, "Oops. I uh- I didn't plan that.."

I'm speechless. The memory keeps running through my mind and I want more.

Gerard stands up to leave. I stand up too, and I spin him around.

I press my lips against his. Our bodies are up against each other. He plays with my hair and my hands find his hips. I feel strong. We keep kissing, on and on. He bites my lip and then pulls back.

He gives me a devilish grin, and walks out the door.

I'm too stunned to go after him.
