A/N Short chapter, but I just wanted to punch one out. I'm exhausted from finishing up my writing-folio, now I gotta prep more for my exam on Wednesday.
Hopefully this is good. Enjoy!

After lunch with everyone I lead Stiles to the car that will take us to the palace, his first time on this side of the kingdom. No doubt he's going to be overwhelmed, I just hope he doesn't faint or anything. Now that would not be a good first impression on the staff that work there. Nor the prestigious idiots that are no doubt going to be there, waiting to greet the new prince.
I hate all those werewolves, the ones that think they're more important, who will squish anyone from the lower class like a bug. That's why I'm so concerned about how Stiles and his father will settle into this place.
Surprisingly it was quite difficult to convince his father to move into the palace with us. I could see that he wanted to stay with Stiles, but he didn't want to leave his job or the house he lived in with his wife.
Once Stiles convinced his father that no matter how much money he earns at that job, he'll never have enough to fix up the place. Stiles referred to it as a 'dump that needs to be let go'. He was still reluctant about his job, so I told him with absolute certainty that I would give him a job with protecting the castle, more specifically my mate, the prince, his son, Stiles.
That's what convinced him completely.
"Am I going to fit in there?" Stiles voices my thoughts.
I give him a small smile. "I really hope so babe." I tighten my hold on his hand that I'm gripping between my fingers. "I hate the idea of you being intimidated, but I have to be honest with you. Some of the people you're about to meet will think you're not worthy of me."
"They're right," he scoffs and I give him a hard look. "What?"
"You are out of my league," I tell him sincerely. "I don't deserve you. Promise me this one thing, never and I mean, never, think that you're not worthy of being my mate, or the prince of this kingdom. And if you do get these doubts, come see me. I'll knock some sense into you."
He smiles lightly, leaning over and pecking my lips quickly. "Thank you."

Twenty minutes later and we finally arrive at the palace. My heartbeat quickens as we get out of the car. What if Stiles decides it's all too much for him and leaves me? I've been waiting for him for years, I don't want to lose him so soon.
"Ready?" I ask him.
He looks at me. "Not in the slightest."
We both chuckle a little as we walk up the enormous set of stairs that lead to the entrance. I hope what I see behind it isn't bad.
But apparently no one was listening when I thought that. Because as soon as the doors open I lock eyes with the family that have been rivals to the Hale family for years. The family that think they should be ruling.
The Argent's.
