A/N This is the last chapter for this story that took me over two years to finish. Thank all of you so much for reading, I really am grateful for all of you.

Hopefully this final part is good. Thanks and enjoy!

"Guess what day it is~" I sing as I sit down, placing my binder full of notes on the beautifully polished wood table. "Or, well, guess what day it should have been."

Derek smirks over at me, past the few council members who aren't happy with the developments we've made.

It's been a year now, since Derek and I met, and the whole Argent thing went down. We've been mated officially for eleven months, kings for nine, and Run free for three.

Talia found out about our plans to abolish the Run a week before our coronation. She sat us down and said that as long as we kept the same council members, she would follow through with out coronation.

It was one of the most stressful week's of my life. I was in constant fear that if we allowed those council members to stay on, we would never be able to end the event since all laws and decisions have to pass the council before any changes are announced and made official.

Turns out, over half of the members were easily swayed by our proposition - plus, Derek's speech probably helped. I gave them all the information and reasons as to why we wanted to make this change and Derek scared them a little.

What did this speech entail? Well, he passive aggressively said that either they agree to this abolishment or they will be removed from their position as a council member.

I quickly found a loophole in our 'agreement' with Talia, since we were basing all of it off of her words. The thing is, Derek's a man of his word. So, I looked into it, to find a way to create our own council. Turns out, if we got the ruling passed with her council, we then could change the members as we see ft. Through some initial white lies and intimidation, we got to end the Run and appoint our new council members. Which is what we're doing today.

Derek gets serious and clears his throat, getting the attention of the council members. "King Stiles and I have spent a lot of time discussing this decision."

"We argued a lot, but we also spent a lot of time observing all of you over the past few months," I say. "We want the council we create to be the best for the reign we want to have."

"Meaning," Derek continues, "we want a more inclusive and diverse council who are more open-minded than some of you. Unfortunately, that means not only are the ones who didn't vote for the abolishment of the Hunt will be removed, but so will some of the others who did vote and aren't really willing to accept humans."

"That's ridiculous!" one member shouts, standing up and pointing right at me. "Humans taint werewolves when they're given power! You're lucky you've been given the privilege to be a king and not some mistress like you should have been!"

"Sit. Down," Derek growls at him. "Some of you only voted to keep your job. You should feel privileged that we've allowed you to stay as a council member for this long."

I rifle through my binder to find the list of names we typed out. "This list," I say, sliding it forward so everyone looks at it, "is all the members we have decided to let go. The rest of you will meet our new council members next week, when we will start the next phase of solving the segregation issue." I stand up and Derek follows. "As for now, we have some anniversary events today. If you need to contact us, book with our assistants and we'll see you in the next few days. That's all for today. Thank you."
