The boys decided to check out the room in the complex first. Though it might seem risky they needed to see what happened first hand and look for telltale signs of what creature they are hunting. They where both in suits having changed for the whole ordeal in order to get into the crime scene.
"I still don't get it. These victims are completely random, other then the fact they live in the same complex." Dean spoke as he and Sam walked down the flight of stairs and to the first floor.
"I don't know, maybe we're missing something." Sam's suggestion made Dean scuff.
"If we weren't missing something this case would be wrapped up by now."
"Well we know the hearts where missing out of the first two victims but a werewolf doesn't tare their prey to shreds like that." Sam declares as they walk down the hallway.
"I've never seen something like this before honestly, I looked through dad's journal as well. Didn't find anything about what's going on here."
"You looked though dad's journal?" Sam asked seeing how they hadn't used the journal in well over a year.
"Yeah." Dean spoke plainly as they arrived at the scene. One of the local feds saw them coming and ducked under the yellow tape blocking off the door.
"Can I help you two?" He asked watching as the two reached into their pockets and pull out FBI badges.
"Yeah, I'm agent Arrow." Dean spoke then pointing to his "partner" with his thumb. "And he's agent Smith." He finished watching as the officers voice contorted into a smile and a slight laugh left his lips.

"Almost sounds fake." He simply states making Dean slightly roll his eyes as he stuffs his "badge" back into his pocket.
"Yeah we get that a lot." He states watching as the officer turns away from them and towards the yellow tape.
"Come on." He called waving his hand for them to follow. Sam and Dean proceeded to buck under the tape. Having already saw the scene in front of him Sam still felt a little sick seeing the blood everywhere. Dean though was about to puke, something he has never done before. Clearing his throat Dean looked over at the officer from before.
"What does the FBI want with this case anyway?" He asked looking from Dean to Sam.
"Well this is the third case like this in town, and this caught the attention of our boss. He wanted us to look into it." Dean explained hoping that it was believable enough to let them pass.
"O...kay." The officer spoke not really buying what he was selling but besides to let them stay.
"So what are you ruling this as?" Sam asked making the officer look at him.
"They said it was an animal attack, again." The Officer shook his head before running a hand over his face. "Personally I don't think so."
"What makes you say that?" Sam asked taking out a notepad and a pencil.
"Well for starters this is the third case in this apartment complex. Then no one saw a animal big enough to do such a thing like this in the complex. I think it's someone here." He clarified making Sam nod his head and jot down a couple things.

"Okay thanks." Sam spoke making the officer walk away. Sam and Dean both walk around the apartment looking for anything to tell them who or what could've done this. Seeing a big blood stain of the floor Sam's mind went back to what he saw a couple hours ago.
"The body was here." Sam spoke crouching down to get a closer look at the area around the blood. Dean makes his way over as well finding nothing strange anywhere else. Seeing his brother picking something off of the floor Dean cocks his head slightly.
"What is it?" Dean spoke watching as Sam takes a closer look at it.
"It looks like fur." Sam clarified making Dean look at him skeptically. Sam then turns towards the officer from before who was talking to another fed. "Hey are their animals allowed in this complex?" He asked making the officer turn.
"No I already asked the landlord." He clarified before turning back to his conversation again.

"Maybe it's fake or well you know part of a fur coat." Dean suggests making Sam look up from the fur in his hands.
"Fur this corse can't be allowed on a coat Dean and besides what about the other evidence." Sam gets up and goes to stand in front of his brother.
"What about the missing heart." He mutters making Dean look around to see if anyone else heard.
"Let's go check out the morgue. See if the body has its heart missing, or at least what's left of it." Sam nods in agreement and they make their way towards the door and buck under the tape.
