The banging gets louder and louder until it stops. Sam takes a glance over at Millie who held the shotgun with a iron grip.
"You think he's gone?" Sam asked making Millie look at him in confusion.
"He?" Sam turns to her, now realizing that he didn't fill her in on what was happening.
"Fred's the one that's been killing people." He clarified making Millie look away from his slightly it all coming together.
"He seemed like such a nice guy." Her statement almost made Sam chuckle.
"Yeah well-" Just then the window in the bedroom crossed open. Shards of glass and wood blew through the room some lodging themselves into the pair on the bed. Raising his arm to protect his face Sam failed to notice the werewolf like dog that had entered the room. It's jet black fur making it even harder to spot. The only thing that could be seen was the snapping jaws and harvest moon colored eyes. The Shifting Wolf was about twice the size of a Great Dane the muscular frame of it only adding to the size.

A cry could be heard as Sam lowered his arm. His eyes widened in fear as he sees Millie being pinned down by the beast. The only thing protecting her throat from being torn out was the shotgun in front of her. Claws bug into her shoulders from where Millie laid beneath the creature. It's hind legs on either side of her knees preventing her from escaping easily. The thing pushed down with all its might the shotgun in its mouth beginning to bend bent as the Wolf clamped down on the weapon. Millie's arms began to shake as her muscles began to cramp up, the little to no energy left in her body would not last long if this went on any longer. The Shifting Wolf's jaws crept closer and closer to her throat making Millie press against the floor trying to postpone the fate that laid before her. Her arms and shoulder screamed in protest as she pushed up on the shotgun. She could feel the creatures nails dig deeper into her shoulder making her yell in pain and frustration. She knew it was either going to be the shotgun or her arms that would give out and let the creatures jaws take her. She felt the shotgun bend again, she self it getting weak. Her arms felt like jello was they shook and slowly where being pushed down. Millie closed her eyes awaiting the pain that was about to come when a gunshot rang through the air and the pressure on her lifted.

Millie looked around quickly seeing the thing a few feet away it didn't move but it wasn't dead.
"Come on!" Sam called coming up behind her to help her up. She cried out in pain as Sam lifted up her arms making Sam wince every time she would do so. He held her close to him as they quickly made their way out of the room and down the small hall. They we're approaching the living room when Sam felt something grab onto his ankle. His arms left Millie who soon fell onto the floor from the pain and the blood loss. Her sight was hazy as she looked up from her spot where she had collapsed a second prier seeing Sam being dragged down the small hallway. He had manage to grab onto the corner on the hallway and turned to face the Wolf that had its ways wrapped around Sam's foot. With his free leg Sam began to kick the thing in the face aiming for the eyes and snout trying to get away from it.

Millie looked around frantically her eyes handing on something on the floor. She crawled over her body screaming in protest as she reaches for the thing a few feet away. Her hand wrapped around something metal and she pulls it closer to herself to see it was Sam's gun. As quickly as she could she gets it ready and points it towards where the Sam and the Wolf were. Her finger gently laced on the trigger ready to fire when she got a clear shot. Her body swayed slightly making aiming the weapon in her hands hard to do. Her body was going weak with every passing second and her vision was getting even more hazy. Millie squints trying to see the Wolf better when her arm suddenly gives out. The puddle of blood that surrounds her getting bigger and bigger. Her breathing became shallow and more forced as she falls back onto her elbows. Her sight was all a blur but she could still back out Sam's blurry figure and the harvest moon eyes of the creature. She finally falls to the ground her breathing becoming more ragged and painful. With the little strength she had left Millie reaches for the gun in front of her her fingers laying on the cool metal but she couldn't pick it up.

"Sam." She breathed out unknowingly to her Sam heard her soft cry and looked up at her. Fear and pain clouded his eyes as he took in the sight of her. She reached out for him as Sam fought harder to get away from the creature. He watches as her body goes limp and she fagged rise and fall of her chest slows to a stop.
"No. No! Millie please! Get up, come on baby please! Get up!"  Millie never did though. Her body laid there in the center of the room motionless her lifeless eyes starring at him as one finally tear leaves her eye and mixes with the blood around her. Tears weld up in Sam's eyes as he looks away and towards the monster trying to drag him away. He kicks harder then before the anger and sadness building in his as he looks into its harvest moon eyes. The eyes that would haunt him for the rest of his life. The eyes that took away the person he loved. The eyes that soon dulled as a gunshot pierced the air.
