Around twenty minutes later Sam arrived back at the complex. He opens the door and walks inside to see Fred waiting at the check in.
"Fred." Sam greats as he walks past and towards the stairs. Fred mutters back a little hello before going back to what he was doing before Sam came in. Walking up about thirty steps Sam makes it to the second floor hearing the police under his feet investigating the scene beneath him. Making his way to Millie's apartment he softly knocks on the door. Hearing no answer Sam takes out the key and proceeds to unlock the door. Swinging it open gently Sam soon found that Millie wasn't in the spot he had left her. Blankets were sprawled around the couch and tissues littered the floor making Sam knit his eye brows together in confusion.

He causally steps into the apartment feeling the slight draft from a near by open window. Sam slowly walks over gun in hand as he does so. Finding nothing outside of the window Sam reaches one hand up to close it but soon stopped. Crouching down he examined the windowsill seeing deep gouges in the wood. Sam leans out the window now seeing the same markings climbing up the brick of the building.
"Sam?" A soft voice called making Sam turn around while hiding his gun behind his back.
"Yeah?" He called following her soft sleep laced voice into her bedroom. Sam slowly opens the door letting the light from the hallway cast into the room. There was enough light to make out Millie laying in her bed. Again tissues littered the floor making Sam slightly worried for the girl in front of him. Millie slowly sits up the blanket over her form falling into her lap as she does so. She turns to Sam and only then did he realize her puffy red eyes and tear stained face.

Sam quickly walked over to her and sat down on the side of the bed. His weight making the bed dip down and Millie slid towards him. Neither of them moved though slightly enjoying it.
"What's wrong?" Sam asked his voice soft as he casted a glance at Millie who was looking down at her folded hands.
"You'll think it's stupid." She spoke her voice horse from crying so much.
"I'll be the judge of that." His gentle voice made Millie look up at him, she had never received that type of tone from anyone in a long time. She takes a deep breath as a couple more tears welled up in her eyes.
"I just... I feel useless is all." She spoke turning to she was laying on her side facing away from the man who sat beside her.
"Why do you feel useless?" Sam asked genuinely curious about why she felt so useless.
"All these people around me are dying, Wendy the women who lived beneath me is in critical condition and I...I just..." Her voice cracks as she sniffs. Sam gazes at her sadly in understanding. He to had felt useless many time in his line of work as well.

Feeling the weight on the bed leave Millie closed her eyes. 'He probably left.' She thought as the loneliness creeps back inside her. Feeling the bed dip down in front of her Millie snaps her eyes open only to be met with hazel ones. She blushes slightly at how close they are. Gently bringing the fragile female into a hug Sam pulls her into his chest. Her head rested on his shoulder as she places her arms around his neck returning the hug and hiding the ever present blush on her cheeks. Sam's face wasn't that different form hers. Nothing in his life has ever left so right yet so wrong at the same time. They stayed like that for a few moments until the phone rings in the males pocket. Sam gets up hearing Millie groan slightly as the warmth left her. Sam didn't even notice she was sleeping until now.

The phone rang again making Sam slowly walk towards the open door. He gently shuts it not wanting to wake Millie. He then walks down the short hall and into the living room. He reaches into his back pocket and raises the phone to his ear.
"Hello?" He asked picking up a blanket that had fallen onto the floor.
"She's gonna make it." Dean's voice spoke making Sam let out a sigh of relief.
"That's good. Do you know if she's up or not?" Hearing his brother sigh in frustration who already know the answer.
"I got about one question out of her before she wanted to sleep. Her memory is really hazy man. All she remembers in letting someone into her apartment and that's it."
"Well that's good isn't it? We at least know she knew the person that did this."
"Sam everyone in this town knows everyone." Dean voice spoke the slight anger in his town making Sam roll his eyes.

"One more thing Sam." Dean adds making Sam raise his brow in question.
"I found some more things about what we're dealing with here. From what I found online this town wasn't the first to have animal attacks this frequently. This has been happening over a stretch of twenty years. After I found that I did a little digging into dad's old journal he has a couple entries on it, thought it was extinct which is why it never popped out to me." Dean explained making Sam look around the room as a feeling of being watch dawned on him.
"What's it called Dean?" Sam asked not liking this feeling.
