A Poem about my mother

Mom

You never signed on for this

You had plans

But I was never one of them

But still, you did your maternal duty

And you may have made many mistakes

But you tried

So I don't blame you

When you left after I turned 18

Now I don't see you much

I understand

You didn't want me

But know

I love you

Even if it must be from afar
