Ryan grabbed a few snacks, popped some popcorn and we headed down stairs. We went into the cove and I sat down on the couch.
“Is The Notebook down here yet?”
“No,”
“Gr. What you wanna watch then?”
“Uh, How about...8 Below?”
“That ones sad, but okay,” I sighed, “you better not laugh at me if I cry though.”
He smiled, “I won’t.”
“I bet.”
He slipped the DVD in, grabbed the remote and came and sat down next to me. He skipped through all the stupid things and then pressed ‘play.’ I reached over and grabbed my blanket that I always kept in here. I pulled it over me and up to my face. I head Ryan chuckle a little.

By the time it was half way over I was already crying. I wiped my eyes for the millionth time and pulled my blanket up a little more. I sniffed and let a tear fall.
“Oh my god. Really Sarah? Your crying because a dog died?”
“Yes, It’s sad! You just don’t care about animals!”
“I do to care about animals. I just don’t cry like a baby when they die.”
“Don’t make fun of me.”
“I’m not.”
“Liar. You are.”
He smiled a bit then laughed, “Come here.”
I frowned and moved closer to him. He put his arm around me and pulled me up to his side.
“Better?”
“Sure.”
“Thanks. That doesn’t sound like it’s any better.”
“Oh, it is.”
“I bet.”
“Don’t be mean, I’ll...go...eat the couch...”
“What?” He started laughing, “You’ll go eat the couch?”
“Yes, you heard me. I’ll go eat the couch up stairs.”
“You have fun with that.”
“I will.”
“You don’t even wanna watch the movie anymore do you?”
“No...I wanna go eat the couch.” I smiled.
“Fine then.” He sighed and pick up the remote pressing pause and ejecting it. I got up, struggling. I hated this couch. Whenever you sat down it like suck in and it was hard to get back up. I pulled my blanket off me and set it on the couch.
“I don’t know what your gonna do, but I’m gonna go take a shower. I feel so gross. Stupid mud.”
“Oh my gosh. This is what, your fourth shower today? Geez, hahah. Wear something warm. I’m gonna see if we want to have a big bonfire down on the beach with people.”
“Ugh, no. I don’t know anyone when you guys do that.”
“You can hang out with me,”
