Being back in the uniform felt good. So familiar and comforting. The pressure of the vest hugging my chest reassuring.

"You still haven't changed- still look better than anyone in that damn uniform." Luke called and I smiled as I checked one of my gun magazines before setting it in a strap.

"I hate to admit it feels just as good as before- maybe they'll let me keep it this time around." I mused turning to see him. Hands in the pockets in his long dark coat. Scraggly blond hair still a mess, and a snaggle tooth smile that showed his charm. Looking at his eyes felt like a reflection of my own, green with brighter bits in the mix.

"Knowing the shit you pull maybe not- it's been a while." he sighed and I smiled.

"You covered all your bases and you know I can handle everything. Stop worrying I can see it in your eyes." I said stretching as we started to walk.

"I know- but I'm still worried enough to come with you guys-"

"I don't understand that- you won't put on the uniform but you'll sit in a locked and secure room waiting to watch what happens and have to wait it out? This is Arkham we're talking about. You want to be stuck in there without a weapon?" I breathed and Luke looked at me. I let out another breath and nodded.

"Sorry-"

"Don't be. People deal with things differently- I don't trust myself with a gun on this. Mask or no mask with me."

"Yeah I guess I'm still having trouble-"

"Least you got it out of your system on fight night," he said quietly as we loaded ourselves into a van with other officers.

"At least...." I looked over the team and looked back at Lucas. He could sense my dissatisfaction. He leaned close to me and whispered.

"You know the plan if this is a trap yeah?" he asked and I hummed once and low.

"You think it is?" he asked and I looked at him unwavering.

"I don't know but I'm ready."

"You're last man too. I made sure you had that position. I just hope you can deal with Crane-"

"I can always deal with him. It's not that hard to for me." I replied simply. It may or may not have been true but it put a smirk on Lucas' face.

"Try not to hurt him to bad if he ticks you off."

"No promises."

I was more then glad that the cell was sound proof. I couldn't hear a damn thing Crane was saying. But I could feel him up against the door. I could feel him speaking. All of my training was coming back. I was in full focus. Aware of everything I needed to be aware of. Including him. If he was talking that meant he was still there. If he was by the door that meant he knew that his rescue hadn't arrived yet. If he knew anything about it. But then again he'd figure something since I was standing by the door. He knew it was me. He knew as soon as I'd stepped into the hall. Knew by my eyes since I had no goggle to wear.

The gas happened first- which it shouldn't have. But it did. That set a few possible plans off of the table. Then two task force agents started to walk to me gas trailing them as the came into the hall. I guess a lot had changed since I'd left the task force. Especially in the quality of people. I readied my gun and called in. Not on the main radio but to Lucas. He was the only one I trusted now.

"I've got trouble coming my way also- plan C?" He called back. I fired at the approaching men as soon as they reached of a weapon.

"More like E. I have to keep Crane down here." I said once the men were neutralized.

"I'll meet you there though a back way-"

"I'm about to get a lot of action you think you could open up Crane's cell?"

"Why in the hell would we do that?"

"To give me cover. And trust me I can handle Crane." I said.

"Give me three minutes." he huffed.

"Make it two lucky," I called.

I was waiting for more men. And they came at me from all sides. Any side of the corridor. I was having a bit of trouble keeping up. I was relieved when I heard Crane's cell door unlock. As soon as I opened the door I punched his lights out. I didn't need distractions. I did my best to shoot hands and legs, but instincts were instincts. It was a mix of Arkham guards, task force agents, and others. But when one side started to thing out I figured it was Lucas coming to help bail me out.

It was someone very different. Actually it was Redhood. Which was more than a surprise. But considering he was shooting at the bad guys and not me this was fine. I whistled for his attention and opened the door to the cell wide to keep the bullets off me and give him cover. He seemed satisfied with it and came to help me hold my position.

"Should I ask why you're here?" I asked firing off a few rounds.

"Same reason you are." He called through with a robotic tone disguising his voice.

"Glad we're on the same team." I called reloading. Watching as he fired to cover my lack of shooting.

"You got a plan?" He asked as I came back to shoot.

"Keep Crane in a cell and get out alive," I went to my radio.

"L how we looking?" I asked.

"Well I'm holding down the fort so no one escapes or opens any other cells. The-" he took a second, I heard the sound of a gunshot before he kept talking.

"The security cams show me you have a new friend- Robin's also outside seeming to be neutralizing the getaway vehicles with some nice explosives." He said and I nodded. Those were probably Hood's.

"So we lock up Crane again- sound's like they're not after him since you've picked up a gun."

"See traps never really worked on me." Lucas called into the radio amused.

"Don't get cocky L. See you in three minutes."

"With you it's one and a half. I'll unlock the doors for you."

I smirked and fired off another round before looking at Crane.

"Glad this piece of shit stays-" I looked on for a moment.

"You can kill him later when we're not in danger of being killed to." Called Hood and I didn't question it.

"Follow my lead then." I called back before heading into hell.

Locking Crane's cell behind us.
