Okay this chapter is really short but I didn't really have that much time to work on it. So anywayyyy...pleeze comment!!!!

Father was a bit upset about what Kim said. He left for somewhere a while ago and we haven't

seen him since. Then Kim went to her room and hasn't come out yet. After they were both gone I

went to visit my brother, who I found raiding the fridge in the kitchen. His head was in the fridge so

he didn't notice me sneaking up on him. At least, not until I touched his shoulder, causing him to

jump, banging his head on the roof of the fridge. He turned towards me, a small piece of ham

hanging from his teeth and bread in his hands. Putting down the bread, he rubbed the back of his

head while fixing me with a glare. I glare back, trying to make him back down. Eventually he did,

averting his eyes to the floor. "I need to talk to you," I said bluntly. He looked up at me and nodded

for me to go on. He picked up the bread again and began to fix himself a sandwich with the meat

and bread. "Kim seems really upset," I started to explain. "I think that she's starting to loose faith in

father. You've got to do something Jake." He took a bite out of his small sandwich and looked at me

with unconcerned eyes. "Why should I? It's not like it affects me." I scowled. "If you don't help me

then I will make your life a living hell."

"You already do."

"I'll make it worse."

"I doubt you can."

"Watch me," I smiled impishly. Jake muttered something I couldn't hear and took a bite out of his

sandwich. "Fine. What do you want me to do?" He finally caved. My happy moment disappeared. "I

need you to try and get her to go to the Above world with me. I'm most defiantly not going alone."

Jake looked at me. "And how do I do that exactly?" I threw up my hands. "I don't know! Bribe her or

something! Just get her to go," I snapped irritably. "I'll see what I can do. But don't get angry at me if

it doesn't work. And it probably won't," he warned. I shrugged. "I'll get angry whether it's your fault or

not. But thanks for saying you'll try," I relented. "Yeah, whatever. Just remember that you owe me," he

growled playfully. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Just make Kim happy. Or just make her forgive father or

something," I sighed. Jake put down his food and nodded. "She's in her room right? I'll see what I

can do. See you later." And with that, he slunk out of the kitchen like a ghost. A stupid, brain-dead

ghost. For a moment I just stood there, thinking. I couldn't help wonder what would happen if Kim

stayed angry at father. Father tries. He really does. Since he's the only parent we have, we look up to

him more then usual. I know that makes him panic beause it makes him think he has to try harder

to please us. He's already done enough to make us hapy. But maybe if mother was here, Kim

wouldn't be acting like this, and father wouldn't be so sad. But mam's dead, and there's nothing that

can be done about that. Although... Maybe...

I hurried out of tghe kitchen and out of the house. Outside it was all bleak and dead looking. Ghosts

wondered around and moaned lifelessly. But mom wasn't among them. I was really hoping that I

would be able to see her right away. If there was anyone I needed to talk to the most, it was mom.

She would be able to make things better. I hoped.
