Visiting Henry

It's a couple of days later and since Summer doesn't want to come and visit Henry I'm going with Mike. We pull up outside a large care home that looks more hospitally (Is that a word).

I follow Mike inside and we are shown to a little room at the end of the hall which Is Henry's room. We walk in and Henry comes over and hugs me.

"I've missed you little man." I say smiling, I see him look past me and Mike clearly looking for Summer.

"Summer's poorly." I say and he sits down on the floor.

I sit with him for a while building towers out of blocks and listening to music on my phone which is quiet funny because Mike keeps asking who the bands are.

"Dinner time Henry." A tall man says walking past his room.

"Come on Jess we better be going." Mike tells me and my heart sinks.

"I've got to go home, Your going to stay here and have dinner and I promise I'll come and see you again." I tell Henry but I can tell that he doesn't understand why he can't come with me.

Me and Mike walk away but I can hear Henry getting upset behind me. I stop in my tracks and look over at him lying on the floor. I so badly want to run over, pick him and tell him everything's going to be ok before taking him home but I know that's not going to happen.

"Come on Jess." Mike says placing a hand on my shoulder and steering me towards the exit. We get back to the dumping ground and I immediately race up the stairs and go into henry's room. As I try to push the bookcase in front of the door I realise it's heavier, I look and weights have been added to all the furniture. I search the room but the compass is gone along with my sketchbook and pencils.

I run down the stairs and go into the office.

"Where is it?" I ask.

"What?" Tracy asks looking confused.

"Where is my sketchbook?" I shout one of them knew something

"Calm down Jess, It will be around here somewhere." Tracy says calmly.

"Actually I found it in your room, whilst we sorted it out." Gina tells me.

"You mean when you rooted Through HENRY'S ROOM and added weights to everything." I say raising my voice when I tell her it was Henry's room.

"Well you can't be locking yourself in there all the time Jessica it's not safe and as for trashing the room, that's not on we can't keep sticking up for you. If your going to behave like this then you are going to have to move out and away from Summer." She lectures me.

"Oh shipping out one sibling wasn't good enough for you. Well if your think your splitting us up you've got another think coming. I'll fight you tooth and nail and my names JESS." I say shouting the last part and storming out.

"Last warning." Gina shouts from the office and I punch the wall as hard as I can.

"Right go in the quiet room and calm down, I'll come and talk to you in about half an hour after I've taken Toby to the doctors, he's convinced himself he's got Malaria." She smirks.

I go into the quiet room and shut the door sitting against it.

There was a knock at the door about 5 minutes later and I didn't say anything thinking it would be Gina.

"It's Liam, I've got something of yours." He says and I move away from the door.

"Gina was in your room..." He sees me glare at him and starts again.

"Gina was in Henry's room this morning, didn't think you would want her finding this." He says pulling the compass from his pocket.

"Thank you." I say holding out my hand.

He however holds the compass higher.

"Have you got anymore?" He asks.

"I'm not supplying you if that's what you want to know" I reply

"Jess I'm being serious. Have you got anything else to... you know... self harm?" He questions.

"No." I say bluntly.

"Promise because I'm not going to go through your stuff but I know Gina will be happy too." He tell me.

"I promise you Liam, please don't Tell Gina." I plead.

"I won't then but if it happens again, I'll have to tell someone." Liam says trying to look stern but as he jumps on the bean bag I'm sitting on I can't help but laugh.

"It won't happen again." I smile.

"Good, Why did you do it?" He then questions.

"I don't want to talk about it." I say my smile turning into a frown.

"Well you really know how to make a mess don't you." He jokes looking around the room.

Gina's words run round in my head 'Your going to move out and away from Summer. Last warning.'

Crap I'm pretty sure trashing the place would count as bad behaviour. I get up and start tidying up the room whilst Liam sits and watches me.

"Guilty conscience all of a sudden?" He asks.

"F**K No but if I screw up once more I'm out of here." I reply.

"Mike wouldn't do that." Liam says confidently.

"Your trusting the wrong people O'Donovan." I smirk.
