Jess' Life In Care

Protective

 I'm sat in the living room playing a board game at the table with Summer and Carmen when Mike walks in.

"Summer I need to talk to you in the office." Mike tells her and I quickly look up at him as fear strikes me.

"I don't want to I'm playing." She says and my nerves calm a little.

"Summer Office now please." Mike says in a stern tone and I stand up from my chair.

"You can't force her." I say angrily.

"I'm not trying to I just need to talk to her." He says taking a step closer.

I lift up my chair, the back in one hand the seat in the other and point the legs towards Mike.

"Stay away from her." I shout at him.

"Jess put the chair down." Mike says calmly.

"No, No you can't take her." I shout back at him as Summer comes and stands between me and the chair so I'm protecting her too.

"Ok Jess, Mike's going to take everyone outside but I need you too drop the chair first." I hear tracy say as she emerges from behind Mike.

I drop the chair and Lift summer up so no one can take her as they all pile out of the livng room door a mixture of worry and scaredness on their face as they leave with Mike who closes the doors behind him.

"why don't you two sit down?" Tracy asks. I reluctantly sit on the sofa opposite her with Summer on my lap and both my arms wrapped round her.

"Jess what are you so scared of?" Tracy questions.

"He wants to take her and he's going to hurt her. Don't go anywhere without me Summer." I reply.

"Oh babe." Tracy says moving closer and reaching her hand out but as soon as I flinch and start breathing heavier she moves away.

"No one want to hurt Summer, Mike just needs to talk to her about some school stuff.

"No No ... You don't understand .... they never .... talk ... it's just .... to get you ..... on your own .... so .....so .... they can .... hurt .... you." I say starting to hyperventilate.

"Ok Jess, Summer's not going anywhere. I need you to take deep breaths for me though." Tracy tells me.

I takes a good 5-10 minutes before my breathing returns to normal.

"How about we all chat with Mike, It doesn't have to be in the office. It can be wherever you like and you can both leave as soon as you feel uncomfortable." Tracy tells me.

We end up talking in the living room since we were already in there and I didn't want to go into the office. Tracy was right Mike did just talk about school which Summer seems to be behind on from what I listened too. Although I'm still not sure I trust them 100%
