I just wanted to put a little warning, there is mention of abuse and mental health although not in depth ❤
It's been a couple of months since Jess left and I've been looking into why she left anyway. I've found out that Gina signed off on the move which made me even more curious since Mike always signs off on that sort of stuff. I couldn't find anything in her file or the computer until I started scan through Gina's emails.
It's taken me a while because I have to do it in the middle of the night when everyone's asleep so I don't get caught. Well I nearly did by Mike once he came down for something but he turned the hall way light on so I had enough time to turn the screen off and hide in the cupboard before he came in.
Anyway by the looks of the emails Gina is heavily involved and she has sent Jess to a place called Pine view which is across town from us.
|| The next Morning ||
I wake up early and get dressed. I put on a pair of school trousers and a polo shirt. I grab an old briefcase that I found in the attic yesterday. I slip in a couple of note books and pens that I was supposed to take to school along with a clipboard (Also from the attic).
Then I make my way to the care home where Jess was supposed to be staying. I knock on the door but when there is no reply I walk inside. I walk down the long corridor lined with door's all left open just a bit and with names on. I come across jess's and push it open. I see Jess Laying there in a small night dress with what look like bruises covering her body. I quickly shut the door and go to leave.
"What are you doing here? Who invited you?" A smaller man asks angrily.
"I'm from the care homes health and safety committee. We just need to check that all your fire alarms work and that your care home is safe." I tell him.
"So you've been snooping?" He questions.
"No of course not sir. If you just show me your working smoke detector I can be on my way." I reply.
"Good because you know the children here have behavioural and mental health issues so they like to test the boundaries say things they don't mean." He says leading me to the fire alarm.
I test it and it does work and then he leads me out of the building and slams the door behind us. I can't leave Jess in there on her own not if what I think is happening is happening.
"Mike, I need your help. I found Jess and I think she's being abused." I say on the phone to Mike. He agrees to meet me here with Tracy.
It's not long before Mike and Tracy turn up and there about to start lecturing me about coming out on my own and how Jess is fine but there's a scream from the building and we all race inside.
We get to the corridor and see a girl flat out on the floor, with an angry looking man standing over them.
"What are you 3 doing here. I told you everything's fine." The guy questions angrily.
"Well It doesn't seem that way sir." Mike says.
"She has eating problems. She's just fainted." the guy tells us but none of us believe him.
I see Jess walk out of her room and the guy turns round and looks at her.
"Sorry, She's got severe mental health problems." The guy tells us before turning back to Jess.
"Remember you have to put clothes on sweetie." He tells her and I can't take it. I take the lap nearby and wack him over the head.
"Liam." Mike says angrily as the guy slumps to the floor which cause Jess to shake and slowly back away.
"Tracy you see if you can get her back home and I'll wait her for the police and ambulance." Mike says as he tries to wake the girl on the floor.
Tracy goes over to Jess' room and I stay where I am since Mike's giving me daggers.
"What you just did was not only stupid but we all could of ended up getting hurt as for coming here on your own and impersonating an inspector, that is illegal." Mike moans and I just sigh god I was only protecting Jess.
"But you've just saved a lot of girls going through this hell any longer and that took guts." Mike finishes.
Jess's POV:
I cower from the shouting and back away into my room. I sit on the bed and wait until someone comes in minutes later.
"Hi Jess." Tracy says and I look up at her.
"You can't be hear, I'm not aloud visitors." I say panicking.
"Calm down, your safe. We're going back to elm tree house." She tells me.
"I'm not aloud to leave" I reply.
"I'm going to take you home. This place is being shut down." Tracy tells me
I reluctantly follow her out of my room and over to the mini bus, Liam comes with us and the journey home is awkward since I have no idea where I am or how long it's going to take.
I get back to the dumping ground and it feels weird. Liam runs straight upstairs and Gina is standing outside the office.
"Jessica there's someone in the office that wants to see you." Gina says which panics me.
"I..I don't want too.." I say my chest becoming tight and my breathing becoming rapid.
"I'm...Sorry ... For ...whatever ... I ...Have ... done....but ....please .. don't ...make .. me ...go ...in..there." I say becoming breathless.
"Jess Calm down." Tracy says as she takes me into the quiet room instead.
A/N - Hope you like the chapter, I know it's not exactly a fun chapter but In a weird way I kinda like it so let me know what you think 💕❤
