"I hate you." I whisper to Dominic from across our table, my heart hitting my rib cage as he sent me a sly smirk. That smirk would have an girl drop to their knees but not me.
His bottom lip suddenly forms a pout, his brows furrow together. "But Mini," He whines like a child, his Russian accent very thick. "I thought you loved me!" He whined again trying to reach for my paper.
I pull away glaring daggers at him. "No, shut up, I hate you. Now finish your paper before she comes over here and yells at us." I hiss. He only grins turning back and beginning his work. Well 'work' meaning his just staring at his paper and waiting until I'm done so he can copy it.
"You know no one will ever dare to yell at me." My head snaps up to see Dominic staring at me, his eyes a dark blue that you could drown in if you're not carful. "Come to a вечеринка with me this weekend." My eyebrows furrow together in confusion, but I shake my head not needing to know what he meant. "I meant party, Mini." I thought about it again, but I still shake my head. "Come on. It's in a few days at eight, I can pick you up." He pleads with an unreadable look in his eyes.
"No." I say simply before he could answer the bell rang. I stand up, wasting no time and bolting out of the classroom with my stuff. I'm finally free from this hell hole and Dominic. I start heading to my locker to put my binders away until tomorrow.
I finally get to my locker and I see a couple making out not to far from me. I almost envied people that had love in their life, however I envied that they went back home to a family. Shifting my eyes away from the couple I put in my lock combination before placing what I didn't need in and locking it back up.
I turn ready to leave only to lock eyes with dark blue orbs, he stands across the hallways staring at me. I shift uncomfortably under his intense gaze quickly picking up my bag and rushing out of the school, even if I didn't want to go home. It was only an empty place where I've lived for four years alone.
Taking my keys out, I hop into my car speeding away. It scares me how fast Dominic could make my heart beat triple it's normal speed, the way his thick accent had goosebumps spreading all over my body, and I hated him for it. I hate the way he was such an ass but yet could be nice.
I get home not too long after I left the school. No lights are on like always when I arrive and it's quiet as usual when I walk in. I don't bother making anything to eat, being the lazy person I am. I slip into my shorts and a tee shirt that are too big before getting into my bed with my laptop.
I'm no longer scared to live alone. I'm happy in away to be away from those terrible people. The ones I was supposed to call mom and her husband, my step dad, they were supposed to protect me from danger, not inflicted it on me.
I put my Netflix on looking for a movie, when there's a knock at the door, I let out a very loud, frustrated groan. I viciously yank the blanket off and head to the door. It's not a secret that I don't really have friends, only one at work, and that I have no family. I slowly take out the bat from my closet and open the door to a very small sliver.
"Dominic?" I ask confused, he stares down at me his arms crossed. "How did you know where I live?" I ask as I open the door some more, he pushes pass me. Then he turns looking at me like I was stupid to which I roll my eyes. I gently set the bat down by the door earning an amused look in Dominic's eyes.
"Mini Bear, I'm the son of a feared mafia leader I have my ways to find people." He answers. We stand there for a minute in silence. "Go to the party with me." He says as I walk to the kitchen and sigh.
He's the son of the most feared mafia leader, but I'm not scared of him or his father.... Well I am a little scared of his father, he's intimidating! Everyone knows Dominic can get mad very fast, but he's never taken his anger out on me.
