"Dad!" Jennifer rushed down the stairs, tears already falling down her face, almost tripping as she began to feel dizzy.

"Jennifer what's wrong?" His eyes widened as he sat up on the couch, as did Caitlin.

"You need to..." She took a deep breath, trying to shake the lightheaded feeling. "...take me to hospital. Alex has been in an accident..."

"Jennifer you need to calm down before you-" Caitlin couldn't even finish her sentence before Jennifer dropped to the floor. She had gotten far too stressed out that she had given herself a seizure.

John rushed to her side. "I'll take her to the hospital, you stay her with Eliza, okay?" He said calmly as he waited for his daughter to come around.

Jennifer almost collapsed when she first caught sight of Alex in the hospital bed. She was unconscious and both her legs were in casts.

"What happened?" John asked Anna who was sitting by her daughter's bedside, holding onto her hand.

Jennifer started crying again and Tom pulled her into a hug as he tried to fight back the tears himself.

"One of the witnesses said that Alex had gotten out of her car before she was hit by an oncoming car." Anna explained, swallowing thickly.

"Did the driver stop?" John asked.

Anna shook her head, her eyes welling up with tears. "She's broken both her legs, the bone in her right leg was so bad that they had to insert a metal rod into it through surgery. She's not going to be able to walk for months." She cried, covering her face with her free hand.

After taking in the new information, Jennifer tore her head away from Tom's chest. "What?" She asked weakly.

"Jennifer, Alex is going to have to be in a wheelchair until her legs heal. Not only that she's going to have to do lots of physiotherapy to get her walking again. Remember how you were when you broke your leg?" John explained to his daughter softly, it was hard to hear but it was the truth.

Jennifer nodded before she let go of Tom, fresh tears streaming down her face as she stumbled over to Alex's bedside.

The redhead began to stir, groaning as she did so.

"Jennifer, she's going to be doped up on morphine, it's not nice to see her like this, trust me. Why don't you step outside?" Tom suggested, placing a hand on the younger girl's shoulder.

"Tom's right honey, she was so out of it earlier, she's definitely not the Alex you're used to." Anna added but Jennifer shook her head.

"I want to stay."

The redhead's eyes opened and they rolled around, unable to focus on anything. She mumbled something incoherent as she looked around the room.

"Alex." Anna said, trying to get her daughter's attention.

Jennifer felt frozen on the spot, she hated seeing her girlfriend like this. So confused and out of her own head.

"Waverly..." The redhead mumbled, her head rolling from side to side.

"Al, Waverly's out in the waiting room with Mike." Tom explained softly.

Alex's eyes tried to focus on the man who was talking. "I want to see her..." She slurred.

"Alex, she can't see you like this." Anna said apologetically and the redhead just stared at her.

Jennifer walked up to her dad and held on tight to him as she cried harder. "Dad, I want to go." She sobbed, not even turning to look back at Alex.
