A couples of weeks into my new job and Styles was picking me up and dropping me off about almost every day. It was a blessing i'll admit to be riding in a car instead of a packed bus, but I felt as if I was taking advantage of his kindness to me. A rare kindness that was usually never in my direction but since the day I worked for him I felt nothing but kindness from that building. It was like a new world, one nothing like the one we lived in.
I sat there eating breakfast with my family, enjoying the fresh glass of milk we were delivered yesterday before hearing a faint honk, knowing exactly who it was.
"He has been driving you around a lot lately.." My mother said as she brought her fork to her mouth looking up at me with a side eye. I knew exactly what she was insinuating and I was not going to allow her to place those thoughts on this situation. "Yea well mother he's a gentlemen, they do kind things it's practically a moral code." Placing my dirty dishes in the sink and grabbing my bag I watched as my dad peeked up from the newspaper in his hands. "Do we have a maid I don't know about now?" referring to my dirty dishes laying in the sink.
After washing my TWO dirty items and placing them back in their assigned spots, I jogged out to Styles car who seemed to be tapping on the outside of his door as arm rested on the half open window. He heard me, bringing his attention up as I walked in front of his car to get to the other side.
"Took you long enough eh?" I blushed, avoiding his sharp eyes. "Sorry I had to do something before I could leave." Hoping he wouldn't ask what, I quickly change the subject to his new watch. The beautiful Benrus watch laid there on his wrist. "New addition?" He peered his eyes down to the watch before looking back at me.
"Small talks not my thing Vienna." he said facing the front before starting the car and driving off to the office. I was stunned but soon recoiled my emotions when he added, "But I would love to hear about your day off yesterday."

I followed behind him with my note pad and a pencil, writing down everything he blurted out at me as fast as I could walking through his new location. "The walls need to be painted, new lights, knock this wall down and turn it into a hall way to another section for my more vulnerable pieces.-" I stopped in my tracks cutting him off. "Alright you're gonna need to slow down." He turned to me, copying my flustered overwhelmed state, "well maybe you need to speed up."
By 12 in this time in the day, Styles decides to give me a break from the labor. We are sat in his car listening to the radio and sipping pop. He held a Pepsi and I gagged at the thought while I downed my nice cold coke. "News in the art world: Italian Legend Niall Horan and his work are making a break in America." Styles turned his attention cutting me off from my talk of how beautiful the day was today. Shushing me, he turned up the radio, placing his ear closer to it as if it changed the volume that was already blasting in his car.
"Horan will be coming right here in the heart of New York City to gain some of it's beauties and plaster them on walls in his new open-to-the-public studio-" the sound stopped, due to the abrupt contact styles made with the 'off' button before hitting his hands against the wheel. "That bastard. Fucking bastard, could he lack anymore originality?" He threw his glass of half full pop out the window causing it to break with a crash. Jumping at the sound I go to see what is wrong but given no time to ask he says, "get out."
"w-what? What did I-"
"I said. Get. Out." He wasn't even looking at me, it is as if what the radio said was somehow my doing. I grabbed my bag and huffed loudly hoping he heard, what a jerk he was being to me! But, I honestly wasn't surprised. The kindness was nice for awhile.
As I walk down the street I discard my empty drink in a trash, pushing my bag up to my shoulder I huff blowing the hair out of my face and walk.
It was as if the mood of the skies and Styles were synced, the once sunny sky was now sulk and dark. The sounds of rain soon hurrying caused me to walk faster. The sight of drops caused me to wait it out under an awning. I was in front of a flower shop, the bright yellow sunflowers laid in buckets near the door and I gasped at the sight. The last time a sunflower made its ways into the streets of New York was way before a time I could remember. I bent down to smell them hearing the sound of a man clearing his throat. Assuming it was Styles, I turned around to see what was not him but a worker in the store. "Loitering is against the law you now." He crossed his arms raising an eyebrow at me. "Sir, I was just smelling the-" He cut me off. Rude. "You mean not purchasing anything?" I breathed in as I adjusted myself before walking back into the rain and continuing my walk.
Sometimes it is best just to walk away.
I placed my bag over my head, hoping to shield myself from some rain but ending up out of luck. At this point I was soaked and gave up on the idea of keeping anything dry about me.
"Vienna!"
I heard a voice next to me, looking across at a man, my boss, driving next to me trying to grab my attention. I turn back facing forward and continued on. "Oh, don't be hushed with me." I still didn't change step, but only increase my speed but sure enough he increases his speed as well. I was hurt I admit, to me he was more than a boss but a friend. But in reality he was just being nice. Nothing about our relationship was friendly but only convenient. "VIENNA." I don't know if it was the sound of his voice or the thoughts I held previous to this moment. But All I remember what turning to him, tears in my eyes and rain dripping down on me. "What! What could you possibly want from me." I turn back around and heard the sounds of tires against wet ground. This man just didn't get it. "I said-" grabbing a rock that was in my way of walking and turning back to him. "Leave me alone!" throwing it at the side of his car a wave of reality set in and I instantly regretted my actions; I had just assaulted my bosses car.
This made him stop, I covered my mouth in shock. He rolled up his window and drove away past me. I watched this beautiful man without a care drive by and the only thing I could think about was how I would get to work tomorrow. Or if I still had a job.
****
So I know its kinda slow in the story right about now but its gonna get juicy and mold into a beautiful story I hope. Finally decided who to play Vienna and I think my choice went well, ....
