The Five Minute Dance

She stood there in her best posture, and stared right into his big brown orbs.
She felt as if she was in a different world.
A world that had drifted away from reality.

A world where everything seemed perfect.

He took her hands in his....

She dance with him as he held her in his arms.

And across the dance floor they went, staring into each other's eyes.

She felt butterflies having the most wonderful time in her stomach.

Her feet felt as if they were out of her shoes, off the ground and in the air.

Her body became separated from her clothing.

Why was this happening to her?

She had only known him for five minutes.

But she felt she had known him her entire life.

He kept his gaze on her as she swayed gracefully in his arms.

She closed her eyes and then open them.

He smiled at her and her heart made a great thud.

She couldn't tell if he was interested or not.

But she wished this moment with him could last forever.

Then suddenly.... the music ceased.

And the moment of her life she so wished could last,

Now came to a sullen end.
