The Love Letter

Dear Love,

         You said you'll be here in times of discomfort and fear.

But yet still, I'm uncomfortable and afraid of falling into the wrong arms.

You said you'd care for my cherry red heart

You said you'd love me for who I am and not who you want me to be

And still, no one ever appreciates my feelings.

You said you'd love me from deep within

You said you'd be honest, kind, faithful and true

In order to never break my heart

But still, I'm fooled into believing your lies

You also said you'd feel my pain with me no matter how long it hurts

And that you'll be by my side no matter how lonely I get.

But do you really exist or is this just my imagination?

If you don't, I guess you'll never write me back

And then I'll eventually take my mind off of you

But if you do, I'll surely be waiting for your reply.
