I Knew a Guy

I knew a guy who was kind hearted and true

He was the best of the best

And almost perfect too

I knew a guy who was gentle and loving

He took my breath away

And bought me two dozen daisies.

I knew a guy who was honest and sweet

Never lied to me

For the truth was always on repeat

I knew a guy who was most of the time understanding

I can recall all those times I sat and bored him with my talking.

I knew a guy who respected who I am

Whether intimate or open

He always knew how to react.

I knew a guy who was patient and divine

He was a charmer

And never ceases to amaze me in countless of times.

I knew a guy who was everything

that I ever wanted

Love or hate

Like air, he was always needed.

I knew a guy who supported me in everything I say and do

And compared to the other side of him.

That guy, was never anything like

you.
