Young and Free

Stay up late and talk to our friends
About all kinds of stuff that we couldn't care less.
No homework done, so
We skip school
Earning us detention for breaking the rules.

Parties on weekends where the fun always began
Meeting hot guys and flirting as often as we can
Not thinking about tomorrow or where the future stands,
Hangovers at sleepovers with our head in our hands.

Parents scold and ground us due to bad habits
But we sneak out at nights, ignoring the consequences.
Loving the youthful life we were dangerously living,
Making mistakes by not fulfilling our responsibilities.

Now we grow up and enter reality
Thinking about life and the world, differently.
The things that weren't a big deal much
Family, school, friends....now became important to us.
Then we realize the lessons of life and what it takes to survive
Leading us away from the obstacles that hindered our strive.

But looking back
It was just one thing in mind,
Living for the present
Without feeling anything inside.
The Teen Life - as crazy as you can be
Yes we were wild, but we were so very much,
Young and free.

Hi everyone this is for all the young people out there who do crazy stuff such as these. I just want to say it's okay not to worry about the future, just live your life to the fullest and enjoy every single minute of it. Go out on dates, party all night, ride the bus up and down, go shopping with your friends, sneak out at nights. Its all apart of the teen life. That's what it is about- living the crazy life and making mistakes. That's the way we learn the true meaning behind life. By being young and free.
So, have your YOLO moments once in a while. 😉
