Host's POV
I was walking down the street when I heard a little girl crying in a near by alleyway...
I walk into the alley to see a woman with a bullet though her head and a man with a knife lodged in his chest. A little girl about the age of 5 was sitting there trying to wake them up thinking they were sleeping.
"M-mommy! D-Daddy! Please w-wake up!" She cried. I walked towards her slowly. She was holding a teddy bear that looked new. I bent down to her level and put a hand on her shoulder. She didn't seem to notice me. She looked traumatized. I would be traumatized too if I saw my parents dead in the ground, especially at this age.
"Hey sweetheart, it's okay!" I reassured her. She jumped at the sound of my voice, turning to look at me with her big E/C eyes, red and puffy from crying.
"C-can you help me sir?" She asked in a sweet but shy and shaky voice. I stared into her eyes, sadly shaking my head.
"I'm sorry sweetheart. I don't think they will be waking up..." I said as tears began to roll down her face once more.
"B-but they have to!" She said. She then pulled me into a hug. I was taken aback by her actions, but hesitantly hugged back. I hear the clicking of shoes on the concrete. I lifted my head to see two policemen running towards us.
"Sir, do you know what happened here?" One of them asked, walking up to us and eyeing the crime scene.
"No sir. I was walking and I heard her crying. When I walked in the alley, she was crying with her parents dead." I told them. The girl tightened her grip, almost as if she felt safe when she was around me.
"Did you hear a gun shot or anything of the sort?" He asked looking at me.
"No sir, I just heard the girl crying." I said. I look down to see the girl had stoped crying and was about to fall asleep.
"Okay, thank you Mister... " He trailed off.
"Host! Just call me Host!" I said, getting to my feet, the girl resting in my arms fast asleep. "Um...Sir, may I adopt her?" I asked the officer, motioning to the child
"You'd have to go to social services for that." He said. I nodded in understandment and walked away with the girl in my arms. She woke up, frightened by her surroundings.
"W-Where am I?" She asked looking around.
"The social services office...I plan to adopt you." I said. She looked slightly happy, but also sad. She was still holding the bear close to her chest. Then, an officer walked over to us.
"Hello Y/N! My name is Officer Jenkins and I'd like to ask you a few questions. Is that okay?" He asked politely. Y/N hugged me tightly, burying her face into my chest.
"Only if Host is there!" She said into my chest. I looked up at the officer, my eyes pleading for permission.
"Are you a blood relative?" He asked.
"No sir, I am the man that found her." I said, holding her tightly. I look at the officer with a confident look on my face, but I think it was hard for him to tell because of the cloth wrapped around my eyes.
"Are going to adopt her?" He asked I look at Y/N and smiled.
"I'd hope so, sir. Once all of the paper work is done, she should be mine, sir!" I said triumphantly with a smile. His gaze shifted between the two of us and he flashed a smile.
"Y/N, Host can come, but you need to answer the questions, alright?" He asked bending down in front of  Y/N. She nodded her head slowly and we began to follow the officer into a little room with a huge one-way window and a long table in the middle. I took a seat at the right far end and sat Y/N next to me. The officer sat across from Y/N.
"Okay Y/N, can you tell me what happened so we can find the guy that hurt your parents?" He asked. She nodded and took a deep breath.
"Me, mommy, and daddy were walking home from the fair when suddenly, we took a turn into a dark alleyway?" She looked at me to confirm this was correct and I nodded. She continued, "A man came up and he had two big guys behind him. He had a weird thing that looked like something my daddy used to kill deer?" She glanced at me again. I smiled, reassuring her that she was doing fine. The officer pulled out something from his bag.
"Did the thing happen to look like this?" He asked, holding up Little Golden pistol. I knew exactly who it belonged to. She stared at it for a while before nodding.
"The other man had a...K-Knife? I-Is that how you say it?" She asked, gazing at her shoes.
"Yes, sweetheart. Um...Sir? May I see the gun again please?" I said, looking at Y/N then the officer.
"Sure!" He obliged, handing me the gun. I knew Wilford had the exact same gun. It was the same exact one with the W and everything!
"Sir, I know who this gun belongs to! His name is Wilford Warfstache I used to work for him. He works for a show called Warfstache Tonight!" I exclaimed. The officer looked shocked as all this information flew out of my mouth.
"Okay then! Well thank you both for cooperating! I will see you two every month on the 3rd! Okay?" He asked as he got up and walked out the door. I pulled out my phone to see what time it was. 12:30 am I looked at Y/N, fighting the sleep pulling at her eyes. As I went to pick her up, a woman walked up to us, clipboard in hand.
"Would you happen to be Host?" The woman asked.
"Yes ma'am" I said, staring at her curiously.
"Congratulations! Y/N is now yours! I hope for the best for you and your new daughter!" She said with a sweet and enthusiastic smile.
"Thank you!" I said, a smile stringed along my face. As I picked up Y/N, she immediately feel asleep in my arms. "Goodnight, sweetheart" I whispered, giving h r a light peck on the forehead.
