The next day, I decided to go for a walk as a reward for defeating Electronica. The sun was shining and the birds were singing! It was quite a beautiful day! I breathed in the fresh air. It was refreshing! I started to walk down the path, when I heard a voice. "Hey Peachy! Wait up! Can I go with you?" It was ash, running towards me. "S-sure!" I stuttered, trying to hide the fact that I was blushing really hard. "I could use some company." "Great, let's go!" He replied. We headed down the path, breathing in the fresh air. As we were walking, I noticed some flowers, and wanted to give them to the Mayor as a gift of thanks. I stopped and picked them. Ash helped me. After flower picking for a while, Ash asked me, "Peachy, what is love really all about?" I was astonished he asked me this. "Why are you asking me such a random question?!" I blurted out. "Easy, easy." He reassured me. "I just want to know." I looked at him. He wasn't angry at me or upset. He was really calm.
I responded, blushing, "I really don't know myself. I've never been in love before." "I see. Well, would you like to find out?" he asked me. I was shocked. Could this be considered a date!? I assumed it was a joke. "Of course. I'd find out by watching a documentary on love." I joked. He chuckled. "You're funny. I like that." "I try to be." I told him. He smiled at me. I looked at his deep, dark rich, brown eyes. They were sparkling in the sunlight. I fell in love! I leaned toward him and puckered my lips. I leaned closer and closer until Ash put his finger on my lips.
"Shh..." He whispered. "Don't speak." I asked him why. He removed his finger from my lips. "Listen ... There's something I like about you." I gave him a surprised look. "I like the way you battled the other day. That showed me that you have determination." "Thank you. Now I have a question for you." I replied. "Yes, what is it?" He asked me. "Suppose a fictional character and a person from the real world were to fall in love... Could they ever be together?" I asked. He looked at me and kissed my cheek. Then he whispered, "Anything can happen in the portal, so I suppose they could." He winked at me. I smiled, blushing. "Thanks...Ashy." I told him. When I realized I had said this, I covered my mouth, embarrassed. "No problem, Peachy-cakes!" He exclaimed, as we headed to the center of the portal together.
