Chapter 9: Scarface the Maniac

When I went inside of the portal, N was waiting for me. "Greetings, dearest leader." he stated. "How are you this fine evening?" "I'm fine." I replied. "But there's something about this atmosphere–" N took me by the arm. "Why, what's wrong with the atmosphere? It certainly is romantic, don't you think?" He asked. I stared at him, and started to blush. "Yes, it is." I replied. His soft blue eyes melted my heart. "N...I...I..." I stuttered. Before I could say anything else, I heard a loud shriek. It was Toadsworth, followed by Ash. "Peachy! We've got trouble! Electronica's back, and she's brought her boss!" Ash exclaimed. "Pfft, I can take on her boss. He can't be that bad." I scoffed. Suddenly, we all heard a voice as loud as an earthquake. "Who said I can't be that bad!? I'm as bad as bad can be!" The voice roared. All fingers pointed towards me. I looked up and saw a huge ferocious dinosaur staring at me, followed by his two henchmen! "I'm Scarface, Electronica's boss, and these goons are my henchmen, Dagger and Thump." The dino stated. "Hello! We're Dagger and Thump. Nice to meet you, little lady!" The two henchmen yelled simultaneously. I have to admit, I was a bit aggravated at them for calling me "Little lady", but I decided to let it slide. "Likewise. I'm Peachy, the new leader of the portal. Nice to meet you three!" The three dinosaurs stared at me in confusion for a few minutes, in order to process what they had just heard, then burst out laughing at me. "You!? You're the new leader?!" They laughed simultaneously. Okay, I was sick and tired of people thinking that I wasn't cut out to be leader. The third response from the dinosaurs' mouths drew the line! Smoke came out of my ears. N looked at the Mayor nervously, and asked, "Is Peachy okay? She seems ticked..." "Oh ho ho! She's fine. She's about to unleash one of her powers. The power of heat!" The Mayor replied. N, the Mayor, and Ash watched me closely as I began to light up on fire! "Yes, I'm the new leader! You guys have a problem with that!?" I screamed at them angrily. "You got something against humans?!" Upon screaming these words, I immediately engulfed myself in flames! The Mayor chuckled, "There's her new power now! How you like it, boys?" "Oh, wow! She's awesome!" Ash and N exclaimed simultaneously, their eyes sparkling. Scarface and his 2 henchmen were amazed, for they had never seen anything like this before. 

Scarface grinned evilly, and stated, "Now you look like a worthy opponent. Come at me!" The heavy dinosaur lunged at me, but I smacked him with my fire hammer and sent him flying into a wall. He got back up with barely any wounds. I was amazed! How could one not get harmed by my fire hammer?! He whacked me with his tail and I flew into a wall. I winced in pain, for I had major injuries. Despite my injuries, however, I staggered towards Scarface, and screamed, "Is that all you've got?!" Scarface glared at me, and sneered, "I knew it. I knew you weren't cut out to be leader. After all, girls are weaker than boys." Oh, no, he didn't. He did not just say that I, Peachy Marie, was weak! I had enough of him! It was payback time! I engulfed myself in blue flames, became a fireball, and punched him violently out of the portal. The 2 henchmen were shocked, and ran out of the portal to find their boss. 

I panted heavily, while turning back to normal. "HECK YEAH! YOU MESS WITH THE FLAME, YOU GET BURNED!" I shouted confidently. The Mayor looked at me, and exclaimed, "Ms. Peachy! That was incredible! You did an amazing job!" I replied, blushing, "oh, it was nothing really. All I did was send him into the sky." N came up to me. "Dearest Peachy, you did an astounding job. I'm really fond of your motivation towards battles. Keep it up!" N stated, as he gave me an affectionate rub on the head. It felt warm and comforting! "Thank you, N. You're really sweet!" I responded. I looked at Ash. He seemed to be mesmerized by my skills, for he stared dreamily at me. "Whoa! You were amazing. You think you could teach me how to battle like that?" Upon hearing these words, my face immediately turned bright red! Ash wanted to learn from me?! I was about to say that he should learn on his own, since he was in high school already, but I couldn't resist his adorable, sweet face, which made my heart swoon! "Sure, wh-why not? I'd be happy to teach you..." I stuttered. N and Toadworth gave me surprised looks. "All right then, we'll leave you two alone to train. Good luck!" The Mayor exclaimed, as he and N departed. 

When they left, Ash stated, "Phew, they're gone! Now I have something to show you, Peachy. Come with me." "Okay then, show me the way..." I responded, while blushing. He grabbed my hand and led me through several forests of the Pokémon world, then dragged me along with him until we finally stopped at a gigantic oak tree. He let go of my hand, and carved his name into the tree. He told me to write my name in the empty spot, so I did. The writing said, "Ash and Peachy, Poke partners for life!" I stared at the tree. It was beautiful! "This will be our meeting spot from now on. Do you Poke swear never to tell anyone of this place?" I nodded. "In case you're wondering what a 'poke swear' is, it's kind of like a promise, but stronger. It's a special bond of trust between you and me." He added. He smiled at me. Oh my gosh! His beautiful eyes! Those beautiful, gorgeous eyes were staring right at me! I blushed really hard, trying to cover my face. "Hey, why don't you come over to my house tomorrow? My mom won't mind a visitor." Ash stated. "Sure, I'd love to!" I replied. "Great, see you tomorrow!" He exclaimed, as he dashed down the road. I watched him as he disappeared.
