Colress stared at me, waiting for my response. "Well, what do you think? You like my presentation of the battlefield?" He asked, with a proud gaze at his creation. I looked around the battlefield, trying to figure out what was so impressive about it. It looked like an ordinary Pokémon gym battlefield to me. I looked up and saw that a couple of the lights blew out, there were dead mothims trapped in a couple of lights, and paperwork stacked on the highest shelf. There was also paperwork scattered throughout the battlefield. I expected team plasma's battlefield presentation to be more astonishing than this. "It doesn't look very welcoming. You really think people are going to be excited about battling here? Look at this place! It's a wreck! Your presentation is a disgrace to Team Plasma!" I replied, letting out a huge sigh.
Upon hearing my laments, the scientist stepped back in utter shock. "Excuse me?! How dare you criticize my masterpiece! It's supposed to be menacing!" He shouted in disbelief. "N could be a better interior decorator than you. He'd make battlefields more welcoming and more elegant to the touch." I scoffed, flipping my hair. Upon hearing my comment, the scientist's face turned red as a volcano. "How dare you make a mockery of my brilliant creation!" He shouted, clenching his teeth. "N is nothing but a puppet anyway! What, do you admire him?!" Upon hearing his remark, I immediately froze. "Yes, I do. I admire everything about him. His battle strategies, his elegance, his quick wits, not to mention his charm too. Yes, you and team plasma have raised one heck of a son." I responded, letting out a sigh of happiness. "Now let's get on with this battle, shall we?" "Technically, it was Lord Ghetsis who raised him with proper manner and prestige, so you have him to thank for that, and yes, let's get on with this battle. I'm eager to see what tricks you have up your sleeve, and whether you can outsmart me or not." Colress responded, with a smirk. "Let the battle begin!"
The scientist declared the battle to be a triple one, each of us with 3 Pokémon in hand. I agreed to the rules of the battle, while I noticed a blurry figure with menacing eyes that was watching us from afar. The figure's eyes stared into my soul, its gaze cold and serious. I couldn't afford to mess up this battle, because if I did, I would most likely get kidnapped by team plasma, and they would harness my powers for themselves. With the sound of a bell, the battle had begun. I sent out Emboar, Lapras, and Liligant, while Colress sent out Haxorus, Froslass, and Reuniclus. I went first, and commanded Emboar to use flame charge on Frostlass. Emboar obeyed, and he blasted Frostlass with a powerful strike, causing her to faint. One Pokémon down, 2 more to go. Colress' Reuniclus used psychic on Emboar, and he took critical damage. I could see that he was about to faint, so I commanded Lapras to use perish song on Reuniclus as payback. Reuniclus would now faint in 3 turns, but she used psychic on Emboar, causing him to faint in an instant. We each had two Pokémon left now.
Liligant used hyper beam on Haxorus, but it was only somewhat effective. Haxorus counterattacked with earthquake, causing Liligant to faint in a single blow. Reuniclus' turn dropped to one. I now had only one Pokémon left. What was I going to do? Forfeit? Certainly not. I commanded Lapras to use perish song on Haxorus. He would now faint in 3 turns. Reuniclus' turn dropped to zero, and he fainted instantly. It was now one versus one. I smiled confidently, and taunted, "Looks like you're going to lose. It was nice beating you, Colress!" The scientist gave a smirk, replying, "Oh no, my dearest. It was nice beating YOU!" With these words, he commanded Haxorus to use earthquake on Lapras, who fainted instantly. The battle was over. I was done for. "No! I don't understand! I had an elaborate plan and everything!" I shrieked, falling to my knees with my head hung low. The scientist had an evil grin upon his face, and chuckled, "Ha! Guess you're not as witty as I thought you were. It was too bad, really. I had faith in you, but now it's gone. I guess that means your reign as portal leader is now over." Upon hearing his sarcastic remark, I responded, "No, it's not over. I still have a... What are you doing?!"
While I was giving myself some motivation, Colress had tied me up in ropes. "Let me go! I demand you!" I exclaimed, trying to break free of the ropes. Colress did not reply. Instead, he set up a ray gun, which pointed right at me. I gulped hard. There was no doubt that thing was going to obliterate me. "When I pull the trigger of this gun, you'll be burned to ashes. Heh... It was nice knowing you." The scientist stated. With these words, he pulled the trigger and a blast of light came right at me. I shrieked in horror, while wincing and covering my face. After a few minutes, I opened my eyes and realized that I hadn't been obliterated. I looked around the room and saw Colress screaming in agony. He had been pierced through the chest with a sword, which was stained with blood. I noticed that the sword also had a symbol on it, which resembled a black wing. My eyes grew wide as I studied the symbol carefully. "Hey! What're you staring at my sword for? Run!" someone shouted, running out of the shadows. The figure that shouted at me was none other than the black angel himself, Dark Pit. He had blood splatters on his tunic and on some parts of his face. He pulled the sword out of Colress' chest, wiped the blood off of it, and beckoned me to follow him. I obeyed.
"So you're the one who stabbed him in the chest! But why? Why'd you save me?" I asked. The dark angel looked at me and scoffed, "I normally don't help anyone but myself, but I have to admit you're pretty wicked, peach lips. I think I could get used to you as future Princess." Upon hearing his remark, I blushed a strawberry red, stuttering, "P-peach lips?! What's with the new nickname?!" He drew a smirk, replying, "Like it? I chose it for you because your sweet lips must be as soft as peaches. Anyway, don't be too hard on yourself, for when plasma strikes you, spark right back up!" "Thanks for your advice, Pitto." I stated. "Now let's –" My words were cut off by a sudden rumble beneath the ground. The ground I was standing on suddenly split into two, and I soon found myself falling down a giant hole! I fell down with a thud, looking up at the dark angel, who was blurry. "Are you okay? Can you hear me? Peachy!" Dark Pit shouted from above. All I could hear was the echoes of the dark angel's voice as I slowly fell unconscious...
