Your POV
"Dead." Kakashi said as he looked down. 'I couldn't do anything, I'm so useless.' Your desire began to grown again. 'No, not now. We have a mission to complete.' You thought. You saw Minato-sensei look at you. His eyes sad. "Sorry, I was too late." You heard him say. You felt your lips move. "We have to complete the mission." You heard yourself say. "We can mourn him when we're back." You said. Kakashi, Rin and sensei looked as if they had seen a ghost. "You're right." Sensei said, hesitation in his voice. "Let's go." Kakashi said.
You looked at the bridge. It was destroyed. 'Mission completed.' You looked at Minato-sensei. "Let's go home." He said. That was the longest walk you ever had. Sadness clouding your mind.
When you returned in the leaf you reported to the hokage. Minato-sensei told him everything. After the report you went home and for some reason sensei let you be. The moment you closed your door, you broke down. "Why you Obito? Why not me?" You said. "I deserve it, you didn't." You kept telling yourself. You walked to your room and got out your razor. 'It's been too long.' You thought as you started cutting your arm. As you felt the relief wash over you, you heard a knock. You hid the razor and then rinsed, wrapped up and covered your arm as fast as you could. "Coming!" You shouted.
When you opened the door, you saw Minato standing there. "Hi (y/n), may I come in?" You nodded and walked in. You closed the door and walked in. You saw sensei sitting at the table. You pulled out a chair and sat across from him. "(Y/n), I was wondering how you are doing." You looked at him and said: "I'm fine." He just looked at you. His eyes were like they pierced through you. You felt your heart ache in guilt. "Actually, I feel like shit." You said. He smiled at the fact that you told him the truth. "I feel like shit, because I feel guilty that I couldn't do anything." His eyes radiated of sympathy. "It isn't your fault." He said. 'Yeah right. He's lying like everyone else.' You kept saying in your head. You nodded at him. "So how have you been dealing, you know..." You knew what he was talking about. "I haven't done it." He smiled at that. "Good, I'm proud of you." He said. Guilt washed over you at this. He stood up and told you to meet him at the training grounds tomorrow morning at nine.
Minato's POV
"So how have you been dealing, you know..." I said. "I haven't done it." She said. I want to believe (y/n), but I just can't. "Good, I'm proud of you." I said and I saw the guilty look in her eyes. 'I can't do anything if she won't admit.' I thought. I told her to meet at the training grounds tomorrow morning at nine. 'We're going to do this together.' I thought as I walked to Rin's house.
I told her to meet tomorrow morning at nine, as did I with Kakashi. 'Rin looks like a mess while Kakashi is trying to stay strong.' I thought as I walked home. Kushina was waiting for me and when I opened the door I was met with a bear crushing hug. 'Oh god, please help me.' I thought. When she let me go I went straight to our bedroom and crashed into the bed. 'This is going to be a long night.' I thought.
~the next morning~
Your POV
After sensei left yesterday evening you crashed onto your bed and cried yourself to sleep. Now you're walking to the training grounds where Minato-sensei told you to meet.
When you arrived you saw everyone standing there. "(Y/n), you're here." Minato said. 'Rin looks broken, Kakashi looks like he's about to cry and Minato looks exhausted.' You thought. "I called all of you here today to tell you that even though Obito died, we will continue going on missions, but as a four man squad. Our next mission will be tomorrow and I know this will be hard, but this is for your own good." He said. You nodded understandingly. Rin just looked even more broken and Kakashi just looked shocked, but composed himself.
