Chasing Cameron

"What do you mean the show is cancelled?" I asked Cam. "Tour management decided not to work today." Cam rolled his eyes but an idea came to mind. "So let's run it by ourselves. It wouldn't be the first time." I mentioned. "We cannot do that." Bart said and I looked at him in disbelief. "Why not? We've done it before." I stated.

Cam and Bart were arguing and I decided to step outside for some fresh air. I found a bench right outside and I sat down on it and took a deep breath. I just needed to clear my mind. Especially after last night, and Cameron never got his head shaved, thank goodness.

"Mind if I join?" I heard and I looked to see it was Blake. "Not at all." I mumbled and he sat down next to me. "I heard about last night. Are you okay?" He asked. "I'm fine. But now it's just all this MAGCON stuff. There's so many problems and Cam is starting to get stressed out. I wish I could do something to help." I said while playing with my fingers.

"Yeah. It is starting to get a little crazy." He sighed and I was getting frustrated just thinking about it. I grabbed a hair tie from my wrist and put my hair into a high ponytail.

"Don't worry Maddie. You always have me." Blake said with a cheeky smile and I playfully shoved him. Cam walked out and he looked upset and pissed. "I'll leave you guys alone." Blake got up and Cam took a seat on the bench next to me.

"Are you okay? How's your head?" He asked. "I'm fine. Are you okay?" I asked him and he chuckled annoyingly. "Perfectly fine." He sat back on the bench and crossed his arms.

"You don't have to pretend you're okay for me." I told him and he sighed. "I'm fine." He said again and I shook my head. He was lying. "I think I've been in a relationship with you long enough to know when you're lying." I chuckled and that made him smile a little. He reached out and grabbed my hand intertwining our fingers.

"I'm not okay right now." He said in a softer tone. He sounded sad. "I just ran into these two girls and they were crying because of the show being cancelled. They told me that they've waited so long to finally meet me and one of them started to cry a little. She told me about how when she's sad, just watching my videos puts a smile on her face." He looked at me and his eyes started to water a little.

"It sucks. We could've ran it, but it was out of our hands." I said. "I know that's what I told them. I also promised them that we would come back." He said and it made me smile a little. "Then we will. Whatever it takes." I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze and he picked up our hands and kissed the back of mine.

"I just hate that the show got cancelled and knowing that there are more of those fans that are crying breaks my heart." He let a tear slide down his cheek and he quickly wiped it away.

Seeing him like this breaks my heart. All he wanted was for things to go right. He wants to make his fans happy. That's all he wants.

Then Taylor came outside and walked over to Cam and I. "What's up Tay?" I asked with a small smile. "I never got the chance to thank you for standing up to that guy last night. So thank you Maddie, I just wish my actions never got you hurt and I'm sorry."

"I'll always stand up for you Tay. I'll stand up for every single one of you guys. And your actions didn't get me hurt so don't beat yourself up for that." I softly smiled. "But Maddie-" he started but I interrupted him. "Promise?" I asked and he sighed. "Promise."
