{CHAPTER 11}
[The Alleyway]
Song suggestion| Banja Tu Meri Rani

Ruhaan's POV:

I had stayed at Abhi's place for the weekend and this afternoon, Abhi and I drove back to the campus.

I wasn't feeling too good. Not as in sick, but my heart felt heavy. I asked Abhi to cover for me at dinner as it was now 6:36 and wearing a black hoodie and trackies, I split into a small jog.

This was my escape. Jogging with music storming my ear drums. Today I decided to take a different route. I don't know why but I felt like this for the first time.

I jogged through Elizabeth street and turned the corner on Taylor street. While jogging, I heard voices in the quiet street. I stopped in front of a dimly lit alleyway where only two figures were visible.

I saw a girl, I couldn't see her face but she was a girl, pinned to the wall by a man. It didn't look like casual making out or anything, but it was like he was forcefully pinning her there.

I moved closer when I heard the man say,

"Wanna run from me princess?"

I could hear him lustily trailing butterfly kisses down her neck as she struggled in his hold. I neared him and pulled him off the girl.

He hit the wall and came at me in full speed. I gave him a punch to the stomach as he once again pounded against the brick wall.

He gave me a punch to the cheek and I could feel a bruise was forming. He didn't seem to give up, even after all the punches so I pulled him into a headlock, which finally knocked him out.

Panting, I rubbed my cheek. Remembering that I had bashed a guy up for a girl, I turned around to see where the girl was. I couldn't see her.

I looked to the ground to see her. Her. Mira. She had her head against the brick wall, her knees in a upright position, and her forehead bleeding.

He was doing all this with my Mira?

I turned around and gave him a couple more kicks to the stomach and balls in anger of what he could've done if I hadn't coincidentally been passing by.

When I was satisfied, I kneeled down to Mira's level and moved the strand of hair which was falling onto her face. She had become so beautiful, even prettier than the little girl I had known.

There was a gash on her forehead, with some blood dripping out. I traced it, wiping the blood off, when I felt her flinch. I put her head to my chest softly, and my heart started doing somersaults with her contact. Not knowing what to do, I decided to call Abhi up.

On the phone:
"Abhi"

"Hi, yeah, I'm good, how are you?" Abhi said sarcastically.

"Stop the nonsense Abhi, let me come to the point behind the cal-" I tried completing as he cut in.

"Do you have any idea how I got the warden off my back? He was honestly gonna roast me, have some appreciation dude. Where are you anyways?"

"Yeah that's why I called. Listen to me will you?"

"Sure your majesty" yup! I hate sarcasm!

"Look, I was just jogging down Taylors Street when this man was towering over this girl, harassing her. I beat the guy up, but the girl.. the girl she's injured. I don't know what to do, I can't leave her here, I can't bring her back to the dorms, I can't drop her at the girls' dormitory, I mean the time, situation, it's all wrong" I said running my hands through my curly hair.
