Yup she confesses her feelings towards him at last.
{CHAPTER 17}
["I love you Kishan"]
Song suggestion| Baatein Yeh Kabhi NaaRuhaan's POV:
Last night, I told Mira the truth about myself. Who I am, our relation, everything. I just hope that after knowing everything, she forgives me and doesn't cross my twisted path again.
I was walking down to a cafèteria just outside of campus with the guys who were chatting about the upcoming basketball game when they stopped.
I looked ahead of me and saw that Mira was standing in front of us blocking our path. The guys walked around her towards the caféteria where Nat, Amelie and Nia were already seated leaving me alone with Mira.
Avoiding her eyes, I looked at the group and began walking to them when she blocked my path. I went the other way and she blocked it again.
I stopped moving, my insides full of curiosity as to why she was doing this. "You want me to forgive you?" she asked and I suspiciously nodded my head in positive.
"The text you sent me... I-I believe it. I bel-ieve you" she paused inhaling a breath, "but that doesn't mean I'll forgive you. Forgiveness comes at a price," she folded her arms over her chest.
What does she want?
"What do you want?" I said mimicking her movement and crossing my arms over my chest in the same way.
"You promise you'll do anything?"
Promise?
Flashback:
"Promise me you'll never forget me?" Mira asked through her sobs as she was about to sit in her car to leave me forever. With tears in my eyes, I nodded and she said, "promise me.."
"I promise."
Flashback ends.
I nodded my head desperately wanting her to forgive me, "I-I promise."
A smile formed on her lips as we got lost in one another's eyes until she spoke up once again in a soft, hypnotic tone, "love me."
Huh?
I was about to walk off again but she took hold of my forearm and pulled me back in front of her,
"I've never been loved before Ruhaan. I've never loved anyone before. I want someone I could talk to, someone I will be able to miss, someone to kiss, and I want that someone to be you. I love you Kishan. I know who you are, I remember, I never forgot, but I just didn't know if it was you or not. Please.. love me and let me love you.."
"Mira, if you'd asked for something else, anything, I would have given you it, but what you seek, I cannot give you. I've told you before, I can't give you love. I don't do love. I'm flaw-ed Mira. I'm not right for you. Nothing has changed Mira. We haven't come too close. I'm my own enemy Mira, you can't save me, go away before I become yours too. I'm a nightmare Mira, don't you see, I can't give you dreams" I stated, her eyes beginning to tear up whilst mine remained blank.
I walked forward once again, but she grabbed my wrist and turned towards me, she clinged to my chest, her tears wetting my skin underneath the thin white button up t-shirt I was wearing,
"I don't want anything else Kishan. You're the only thing I want. I accept you the way you are, I love you just the way you are. I accept your flaws, I accept you as the nightmare you call yourself. To you, you may be a nightmare Kishan, but to me, you are a beautiful dream. I will save you, I will love and cherish you. You are perfect for me Ruhaan. Please.. just give me yourself Kishan."
My hands, trembling, clutched her back and pulled her closer, losing myself in her warmth. Why can't I let her in? Why not?
She pulled away, "ok Kishan, don't give me love. You don't do love right? Just give me yourself, and I will teach you to love" she said determined in a shaking voice, "all I ask for is one day. Just for one day, surrender yourself to me. Please.."
You can't teach me to love but, I can give you one day of my life, "just one day" she smiled through her tears at my permission, "happy?"
"Very" she said and we both left to join the group at the caféteria.
YAY!!
FINALLY!!
I just can't wait to know what happens next!
