ocean

Your heart is an ocean,
And your mind is pollution,
You always have your eyes closed,
As if some how that will protect you,
Though deep inside we both know that's not true,
Your heart is an ocean,
Your mind is aching,
You always smile bright,
Though during the night,
Tears fall from your eyes,
At that moment you are not protected by lies,
Your heart is an ocean,
Your mind is pollution,
You are always talking,
Because nobody listens,
And maybe if you talk long enough,
Someone may listen- I know it's been a little rough,
Closing your eyes just to try and  hush the screams of silence,
After all silence is what you're left with after the violence,
The marks never leave,
They remind you that you can never be free,
Your heart is an ocean,
And the waves are rising high,
Your mind is pollution,
It poisons the air and the water the ocean.
