Your smile was once the sun to my day- never had I ever seen a more perfect smile,
Lately it's been stormy, your smile has been gone for quite awhile,
Your eyes once sparkled like the stars in the night sky,
An empty hollow look now makes it's home in your eyes,
You always use to talk about falling in love,
You always believed in that kind of stuff,
Did your thoughts eat you alive?
Only once you raised your hand in class and I saw the red lines,
Long sleeves and bracelets couldn't hide the cuts,
You use to say it'll get better, but there was that one time ever so quietly you whispered I've had enough,
It was sunny that day,
Crystal clear skies, we all expected rain,
After that day it was never the same,
There was no one to blame,
You'd left one small note,
How could anyone know,
They found you on the bathroom floor,
There was an empty bottle of pills, nothing more,
We all expected rain, none ever came.
